A taskforce set up by California Gov. Gavin Newsom is urging the federal government to pay every African American in the US at least $223k for 'housing discrimination' - while continuing to probe other areas for compensation.The nine-person group believes that black Americans should receive the money for 'enduring the economic effects' of racism and slavery – after initially making the suggestions in California.
Members of the panel are calling for the federal government to take on their concerns – a move that could cost billions to fulfill.
Kamilah Moore, a member of the group, told KCRA 3: 'For the federal government, what I want to make clear is that although California is making history in atoning for its harm against its African American community that does not leave the federal government off the hook.
'And reparations for African Americans or the American freedmen community is first and foremost a federal responsibility.
California has an estimated 2.6million black residents, with 2 million of whom are descendants of slaves and therefore could receive the reparation.
Newsom, who is thought to be considering throwing his hat in the ring for a presidential election, would see his state losing around $569 billion for the compensation.

What should really scare all the white liberals is the guys that are quiet.
It won’t end with reparations. The left wants one of two things, and possibly both.
The want to oppress white people in order to tribalize them and promise them protection from society in exchange for their loyalty. IF you can command 60% of the population, you will win every election in an honest fashion.
The left are enslavers.
Just how will California define a black person? Is having just one black grandparent enough? Or must it be all four?
The Nazis worked out all this racial stuff back in the 1930s. Perhaps California should study how Adolf and his pals did it.
How about demanding thru Ancestry.com that they even are such descendants
NOT behind this idea at all.
That would only be about $10 trillion. No worries. Of course when the currency loses its value after cranking up the printing presses it won’t be worth anything.
