Conservative radio host Mark Levin went off on the “bonehead” Congressional Republicans threatening to derail Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) bid to be the next speaker of the House.
Levin used his show on Tuesday to talk about how the Republican Party’s slim majority in the House of Representatives may cause a struggle for McCarthy to get the votes he needs to succeed Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Hard-right members of the Congressional GOP have publicly opposed McCarthy’s bid for the speakership, so the House minority leader is currently trying to bring these factions in line and secure the 218 votes he needs.
Levin had no patience for this drama, lashing out at these “five boneheads in the House of Representatives.” He argued that these GOP rebels have no alternative nearly as electable as McCarthy, so they’re “playing right into the hands” of their political foes with this internal squabbling.
“How can they be so stupid?” Levin railed as he blasted these lawmakers for standing in the way of Republican efforts to smoothly implement their agenda. He then proceeded to name and shame these “five saboteurs,” starting with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

It won’t matter who the speaker is. With the slim majority, they will have to compromise and whoever becomes speaker will get the same treatment as Newt, Hastert, Boehner & Ryan. Gaetz, Jordan, MTG and some others would even meet the same fate.
With Jim Jordan, MTG, Boggs, Gaetz et al it will be Paul Ryan all over again. The majority is so narrow it will be tough to herd the cats.

Levin is about to lose his audience the SECOND time. The first time was when he went after Trump! McCarthy is nothing but “another Republican” ... and he will DO NOTHING!
Levin is a BLOWHARD, full of himself. I have zero use for this donkeyhole.
If McCarthy doesn’t get 218 Republican votes there will be some Democrats who will vote for him rather than having a real conservative House Speaker unless the Republicans agree that the next Speaker must have 218 Republican votes.
I don’t trust Levin.
IIRC, he was a Never Trumper back when it mattered whom one supports.

Pelosi enforced iron discipline on her caucus and got the entire Dem program passed. The Stupid Party will fight other Republicans and get nothing done.

I remember Mark Levin being an ANTI TRUMPER, so his words only go so far.
Matt Goetz will be president one day, heard him speak last month and he is as close to Trump speaking as any one I have heard.

It’s probably because Conservatism, Inc. is in bed with GOP leadership.
Salem Media is part of that “official” conservatism and has bought up a lot of what once were independent conservative media properties. That’s one reason that we see less discussion than we used to. And the discussion that we do see tilts in favor of the GOP establishment.
I think you’re onto something. These giant companies have their goal as skewing the Republican party toward corporate welfare and subsidies for billionaires. Trump challenged their gravy train and they can’t have that.
