These articles are so stupid. Gas prices almost always go down during cold months because people travel less. Lower demand means lower prices.
and as soon as it does, NY will put the $0.22 tax back it lifted couple months ago...
It has not dropped where I am.
Gas nhas been been going down here, too...west of the Missouri River, but not grocery prices, even at discount places.
“NYS, with some of the highest fuel taxes in the country, has gas prices below the national average????”
They cut them by a large amount a few months back, but the cut was of course temporary and IIRC is scheduled to go back up this month. You know, after the elections are over.
Speaking of diesel, whatever happened to that story that we would have been out of diesel by now and that truckers would be stranded on the sides of the highways with nothing but C.W. McCall tapes to play in their trucks?
I think supply is holding around a month.
0.5/ 9 = 5.5%.
China’s demand has dropped a lot with the lock downs, etc. I believe they are still dumping the reserve, too. At the end of the month, doesn’t the last phase of the Russian embargo kick in?
Thanks for making those points about China. Good ones...
I believe there is something going on there, but I honestly
don’t follow the sanctions against Russia all that much.
I did bump into a blurb on this recently, so that’s the
only reason I could say I do believe there are new sanctions
going to hit soon.
