President Donald Trump is maintaining a strong and solid lead over potential 2024 presidential primary candidates, indicating widespread voter support for Trump on the heels of announcing his candidacy in November.
According to a new Economist/YouGov poll, which was conducted among 1,500 adult citizens online, President Trump was the number one choice to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024, with 20 percent of support.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., came in as runner-up with 18 percent of support. Other candidates like Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and former Vice President Mike Pence garnered under 10 percent of support.
Respondents also indicated that inflation was the number one issue for them right now, with climate change and the environment clocking in as the second most important issue.
For Trump, Biden’s failed economic policies have only served to boost the Make America Great Again 2024 campaign. Per RSBN, a recent poll from Emerson College found that President Trump had netted 55 percent of support among 1,380 respondents in a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary. DeSantis, by contrast, netted just 25 percent in that same survey, giving Trump a monumental 30-point lead.
A late November Politico/Morning Consult poll also placed Trump at the front of the pack with 45 percent of support in a 2024 National Republican Primary race, with DeSantis coming in second at 30 percent. Other possible candidates, like Pence or former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, all trailed with single-digit support.
“The polls are really strong, especially since Tuesday’s announcement…,” Trump stated on Truth Social in November.
A Harvard Caps/Harris poll conducted right after Trump’s mid-November 2024 campaign announcement revealed that the 45th president was maintaining a big lead, with 46 percent of support to DeSantis’s 28 percent.
I won’t give DeSantis a look until he rids Florida of RCV-enabled voting machines, early voting, and mail-in voting.
Pretty sure we need AZ and PA to win the presidency. The Commierats just blatantly stole an election in AZ, and all patriots have done is file some lawsuits that won’t do squat. They are laughing at us. And they’re gonna do it again in 2024, because they know that we’ll still be griping and doing nothing effective when they truck us off to the death camps.
Romney and Cheney, bot that 2%.
Imagine that ticket: Romney/Cheney for President/VP in 2024.
Republicans would be leaving the country, for sure, if that were to be the nominations.
But, I like Trump/Cruz in 2024. But, I think Cruz would hold out until Trump nominates him for the Supreme court.
I’m beginning to think Deep State didn’t mess with Florida’s gubernatorial election because it didn’t need to.
Trump is getting crushed if these numbers are correct. Surely only 40 or 50% of Republican voters have little awareness of who Desantis is.
Again, disingenuous.
As always, you’re posting results of a full field of primary candidates.
Chances are most of those votes going to anyone other than the top 2 are going to the DeSantis column in a 2-way match. Either way, it is tight and not a given that Trump wins.
Statistics and damn lies, y’know.
But, but ......the fox polls.....
Just saw a homemade sign here in rural MO for Trump 24.
Try swapping him out for a Yale + Harvard educated guy being funded by RINOs and Globalists and we’ll end up with a dem as president.
It all comes down to how Trump presents himself over the next 2 years. If he presents well, then there’s still the election issues, some of which is fraud but some of which is perfectly legal but that our side can’t be bothered with.
I give you exhibit A. https://freerepublic.com/tag/activism-news/index?tab=articles
There’s been no real activism here since the Dixie Chick thing. Freep this poll ain’t gonna cut it. CA GOP(not national RNC/GOP figured it out and saved enough US House seats to give R a slight majority. They harvested ballots and put ballot collection boxes in churches.
They have tried very diligently to malign, distort, report false news... Donald J. Trump is the FATHER figure, the Adult in the Nation of a whole dorm full of rowdy characters. We stand with DJT.
I predict that you will be voting for Trump in Nov. ‘24.
Get used to the idea.
Where else are you going to go?

I always vote by mail. It’s so much easier and also safe. I send in my ballot and then a couple days later I can check their website and confirm that they received it and that it will be counted. Much better than spending an hour and a half waiting in line.
They’ll keep posting phony polls showing deSantis is on top, but only they themselves will believe them.
> Pretty sure we need AZ and PA to win the presidency. <
Agreed. It really bothers me that nothing was done in 2017 and 2018 about voter fraud. Back then we had the Senate, the House, and the Presidency. Yet nothing was done.
And yes, Trump bears some responsibility here. Folks can spin it anyway they want. But Trump was a key player back then. The whole thing was, and is, a mess. That’s one reason I’m looking for new leadership in 2024.
I will vote for Trump if I get the chance. I like DeSantis but he ain’t no Trump!
We are totally 3rd world now guys, and gals. We can’t even conduct an honest election. The Dems have been stealing elections for decades and the pewbies either won’t or can’t stop them.
Let's hope for robust campaigns, great proposals, and valuable demonstrations of maturity, diplomacy, speaking ability, likability, youth and camera presence, and tact and timing.
Whatever the result of the primaries, I’ll support and vote for whomever wins the GOP nom. Every GOP candidate and every GOP voter should say the exact same thing.
Until we get a handle on the VBM , vote by mail, election month for Dems and one day for us , it doesn’t matter who is on the top of the ticket they will lose. They collect ballots from Dems for a month-sort of legal cheating-plus it allows the other kind of cheating-
