The infant son of a California tech honcho overdosed on fentanyl he found while crawling around a playground in an upscale San Francisco neighborhood, according to his frightened father and nanny.
The 10-month-old twin, Sena, was playing with his brother at George Moscone Park in the Marina District on Tuesday afternoon when he began struggling to breathe and turned blue, his nanny Wendy Marroqui said.
“I shook him, and I’m like, something’s wrong,” Marroqui told wral.com. “I saw his face and he was dizzy. I thought he’s not breathing.”

I’d like to hear it from a coroner, not the border hopping nanny.

“I shook him”
You don’t shake any baby.

If someone…anyone…is not moving or reacting, you shake them.

She said the baby had been crawling in the grass and putting leaves in his mouth like he normally does Um ... That's kinda not exactly "normal," nanny.

“struggling to breath and turning blue”
Shaking don’t fix that.

The point is you’re trying to see if anything will wake them up. It’s like shock that someone is not moving.
It’s a natural reaction and they’re not doctors analyzing the exact issue in a crisis.

Your First Aid training is lacking.
Be it Boy Scout, Red Cross Life Saving or work training modules.

Good God, man!
It’s a natural reaction to shake people when they don’t respond!
This is not about EMTs and doctors!
She is not “abusing” him. That is what you’re getting at, the “shaken baby syndrome”. This is not THAT.

Yes, I recall seeing such in old black & white movies and comedies.

A ten month old is allowed to crawl around on the ground in a San Francisco playground?
My thought, exactly!
Why would this tech honcho even allow his kids to be taken to a SanFranFreako playground/park???

Wonder who he voted for? There's plenty of Fentanyl in red states too.
To: metmom
Yes 10 months is still an infant. The medical definition is children under one year of age. But developmentally speaking, humans are infants until they begin to speak well enough to communicate in sentences. Infant literally means “without speech”.

I know a guy that works in Seattle. He said that early on in the pandemic when all the street sweepers and maintenance people were stuck at home the gutters looked like they were filled with snow.
It was the needles from junkies.
