A majority of Asian Americans who oppose affirmative action do so because they believe it is racist, according to a new survey.
Intelligent.com, an online resource focused on higher education planning and online degree rankings, polled 1,250 Asian Americans on Nov. 9 and found that roughly half (49%) of them oppose race-based admissions in colleges and universities.
The detractors cited several reasons for their positions. A whopping 81% said they oppose the policy because it is racist; 32% said it increases racism against Asian Americans; 30% said it hurts their odds of getting into their chosen schools and 25% said it perpetuates stereotypes against the community.

Who do they vote for?
Of course it’s racist, it could be nothing else.
Anything based on race, is by definition racist.
Is this a trick?
Affirmative action means against whites openly, against Asians discretely, and for blacks and browns.
More D than R.
They are not wrong.
As do Jews.
What gives?
It is racist, illegal and unconstitutional.
Years ago I dated a woman who was a graduate of Radcliffe College (which was subsequently “absorbed” by Harvard). She told me that a classmate of hers, who was the Vice Chancellor of Admissions at Harvard, told her that were it not for Harvard’s unique admissions policy, every Freshman class would be made up entirely of Asians and Jews.
The term Asia Quota. Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia:
An Asian quota is a racial quota limiting the number of people of Asian descent in an establishment, a special case of numerus clausus.
It usually refers to alleged educational quotas in United States higher education admissions, specifically by Ivy League universities against Asian Americans, especially persons of East Asian and South Asian descent starting in the late 1980s.
These allegations of discrimination have been denied by U.S. universities.
Asian quotas have been compared to earlier claims of Jewish quotas, which are believed to limit the admissions of a model minority from the 1910s to the 1950s. Jewish quotas were denied at the time, but their existence is rarely disputed now. Some have thus called Asian-Americans “The New Jews” of university admissions.
Proponents of Asian quotas’ existence believe that by various measures admissions have a bias against Asian applicants, though not necessarily a strict quota: for example, successful Asian applicants have on average higher test scores than the overall average. The perceived bias against applicants of Asian descent has been termed a “bamboo ceiling” or “Asian penalty”.
RE: Who do they vote for?
Yes, if they were so smart then why vote Dem again and again?
Believe? WTF? Facts just are!
Affirmative action is government enforced racism...period.
Was about to post the very same question.
Well Duh.
if in the heart if Silicon Valley, at least 75% vote DEM. And that may be understating it. I kid you not.
Well I guess they get what they voted for .
Cognitive dissonance…that’s why.
