I would imagine Trump is hard headed and thin skinned when people around him give him criticism. In my opinion he conflates criticism and disloyalty…..and lotaly means everything to him.

The changes will include expediting a system, borrowed from Trump’s White House, in which a senior campaign official will be present with him at all times, according to one of the people.

I don’t see where it says Trump knew it was a set up from the beginning. This article says it was in the middle of the dinner. So why did you not see that in the title?

How do you know? Give some examples.
I didn’t mean from thw beginning of dinner, iI mean from the begging of the incident. If you knew it was a setup why would you allow people to make all these accusations. The second you know it’s a setup you leave the dinner and then you make it public.
Yeah Trump was a poor judge of character when he was asked by a guy who wanted to run for Governor of Florida and needed a backer said okay and the rest is history.

Well, you did say the beginning. I am sure that was to try and make Trump look really bad.
Getting up in the middle would not have made a bit of difference because those wishing to hurt Trump had alrady done their damage.
You know I can understand maybe wanting a different candidate than Trump. What I don’t understand is that after he really worked hard and weathered a really difficult 4 yr term where he was treated abysmally by scum in both parties and still did so much of all he promised, is treated with such hate and scorn now.
There will be a primary and other candidates will declare they are running. As of now, nobody has entered yet. So why all the vitriol toward Trump right now?
amongst the party that came to visit, there was a female political staffer who used to work for Trump. According to one story, she tried to steer Milo and Fuentes to the bar, leaving Kayne with Trump. Trump deffered to Kayne who wanted both to stay. None of the articles mention her as present at the dinner table part of the story.
According to another article, Trump did take a call during their dinner and his demeanor towards Kayne changed - he signaled the end of dinner - cut it short. And that was that.
My money is on the female staffer contacting Gravante, as a former staffer someone she would have known
I think this will be a case of trump slipping on a banana peel and landing on his feet... Most are seeing what happen for what it was.
I believe that Trump has known West for many years. I can visualize a secenario where the guy calls and says can I bring a couple of friends. Trump say sure. Then West screws him over. After the meeting Trump implied that West, an old acquaintance, seemed to be having mental problems. And
Trump was being nice. Judicious. It’s hell to jettison friends. Regardless of age.

Trump was warned to break off from Ye I heard by many, yet he did not heed warnings.
And not one person yet has explained to me why Trump gave McCarthy his endorsement for Speaker. That was a real head scratcher.
