Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis just on Tuesday was talking about the media spreading “false narratives” to divide people.

During that press conference in Jacksonville, the Republican governor also noted how he willingly fights back to set and keep the record straight.

DeSantis should go ahead and declare his intentions for a presidential bid, by saying...

‘It’s not on my mind right now’.

As for book bans, our school district, one of America’s largest, has banned all books in all classes that are written by white heterosexuals. (And in this case, they consider Shakespear, et al, to be heterosexual despite stupid claims they otherwise would have endorsed.) Even black authors are suspect if they don’t conform to gender ideologies.

Jane Austin has been replaced by Trevor Noah.

Joseph Conrad has been replaced by Persepolis, a rabidly pro-Soviet, anti-American book written by an Iranian expatriot.

Why would anyone send their children to that district?

Why would anyone send their children to that district?

Some parents agree with the anti-American agenda; some parents are ignorant or stupid; some parents choose convenience and no-cost (public school) over the work/committment they must give to send their kids to an alternative school.

There are literally millions of books currently being published in the U.S. with tens of thousands of new titles published every year, far more than any library can hold. Someone has to decide which small fraction of those millions of books to put on the shelves of each library.

When it comes to school libraries, the buck stops with the elected school board and not with any librarian or other school employees. When a school board decides to authorize some books and not others, they are not “banning books,” they are simply doing their job. If voters do not agree with their decisions then they can vote them out of office.
