FORMER PRESIDENT BILL Clinton paid tribute to Fleetwood Mac singer and keyboardist, Christine McVie following her death Wednesday at the age of 79.
In a statement posted to his Twitter account, Clinton honored McVie and shared how “Don’t Stop” – a song written by the late artist for the band’s 1977 breakthrough album Rumours – was used in his presidential run in 1992. The former president said that at the time, the hit track “perfectly captured the mood of a nation eager for better days” and that he was “grateful to Christine & Fleetwood Mac for entrusting us with such a meaningful song.” He added, “I will miss her.”
He also shared a video entitled, “When Music Makes History,” that told the story of the song’s impact on Clinton’s baby boomer generation. After Fleetwood Mac broke up in 1987, the original lineup reunited for one night to perform “Don’t Stop” at Clinton’s 1993 Inaugural Gala.
I’m saddened by the passing of Christine McVie. “Don’t Stop” was my ’92 campaign theme song – it perfectly captured the mood of a nation eager for better days. I’m grateful to Christine & Fleetwood Mac for entrusting us with such a meaningful song. I will miss her. pic.twitter.com/UPUvpDWRZB

The real question:
Is McVie rolling in her grave, or not?
Me me me…. I I I
What a weasel trying to boost his popularity on the death of another.
“Don’t! Stop!” has been a common phrase heard by Slick Willie throughout his life, I suspect.
Then Bill Clintoon ruined it in 1992.
In retrospect, Bush was the patriarch of the uniparty.
That was a different Don’t Stop song. McVie’s was thinking about tomorrow.
The song was great. The man, not so much.
Bill and Hill are a great match. Two extreme ego maniacs.
I would hope so.
In ‘96, I attended a Bob Dole rally in Somerville, NJ. Poor Bob Dole, stood exclaiming,”where is the outrage?” over about 2000 attendees.
But nobody could hear him speak. There was an ice cream truck with boom boxes blaring “DON’T STOP” so loud, I asked a cop if he could do something. He just raised his hands and smirked. So it goes.
“Don’t...stop...serially raping women”
(Bill Clinton version)

“Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)”
As a penny-ante grifter/rapist with no real track record, Clinton used McVie to fool voters into choosing Hope over Experience. Bill’s spinners were indeed clever salesmen. But Ross Perot put Clinton in the White House, not Christine McVie.
It was the event that made me dislike Fleetwood Mac.
Before that, I kind of liked a few songs of theirs.
My bad, Our class song was Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop (thinking about tomorrow.)
“ Is McVie rolling in her grave, or not?”
Why. They loved Clinton. Were apostles of wokeness and the “new morality”.
‘It was the event that made me dislike Fleetwood Mac.’
it made no difference to me; my only interest in FM was that at least from a distance both McVie and Nicks were mouth watering...
