(No search results for this particular piece.) Per joementia: "Two words: Look for the 'FU' label!". Guess he must have missed "The Art Of The Deal" that PDJT left for him huh? But, he is, after all, a Scranton union guy right? Much dumbassery to go around. And, eight of the 12 unions involved voted to accept the deal. I thought these guys loved majority rule wins. No? 🤡👍

I am hoping for the strike to happen just like I voted for the meteor. Clown world needs to be punished.

Working for a union is like spousal abuse. You get screwed and are told to like it

Is it not illegal for the government to interfere in contracts, much less passing legislation to enforce one?

No, the government has a long history of crushing rail strikes by force.

Did you read what you wrote? The entities in charge care not about what is or isn’t “illegal” any longer. Their goals regardless of what it takes. 😎👍

There’s too many conditions lining up to stop the economic shitstorm that’s coming.

US and Chinese real estate.
Bank of China, Bank of England, REITs, Vanguard, BlackRock, etc exposure to real estate.
Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, et al health
Energy and diesel prices
TSMC cut 50% of output
Rail strike
Inflation
China hasn’t released GDP numbers for three straight quarters
Unrest in Iran and China
Iran nukes and Israel
Turkey and Iraq/Syria
Ukr v Rus
Etc.

On a different thread, someone posted something about a Railroad Act.
Some legislation that predates everyone here…

I thought the Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act many decades ago to deal with union strikes involving critical industries.

"calling on Congress to pass legislation immediately to adopt the Tentative Agreement..."

So, members of congress will be conducting and loading/unloading the railroad cars.

What I see happening is Congress fails to pass law necessary to avert strike. Brandon and the press will blame Republicans who do not support/stall/delay bill. Republicans will be blamed for the strike and the resulting downturn in economy.

This could be fun to watch.

My only question is: What will the Republicans do?

My only prediction is: The democrats and the media will try to blame the Republicans no matter what happens.
