(No search results for this particular piece.) Per joementia: "Two words: Look for the 'FU' label!". Guess he must have missed "The Art Of The Deal" that PDJT left for him huh? But, he is, after all, a Scranton union guy right? Much dumbassery to go around. And, eight of the 12 unions involved voted to accept the deal. I thought these guys loved majority rule wins. No? š¤”š

Is it not illegal for the government to interfere in contracts, much less passing legislation to enforce one?

No, the government has a long history of crushing rail strikes by force.

Did you read what you wrote? The entities in charge care not about what is or isn’t “illegal” any longer. Their goals regardless of what it takes. šš

I thought the Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act many decades ago to deal with union strikes involving critical industries.

Why is the govt in charge of the railroads?

"calling on Congress to pass legislation immediately to adopt the Tentative Agreement..." So, members of congress will be conducting and loading/unloading the railroad cars.

What I see happening is Congress fails to pass law necessary to avert strike. Brandon and the press will blame Republicans who do not support/stall/delay bill. Republicans will be blamed for the strike and the resulting downturn in economy.

This could be fun to watch.
My only question is: What will the Republicans do?
My only prediction is: The democrats and the media will try to blame the Republicans no matter what happens.
