"I find that very disheartening," he concluded.

Two members of the Mohave County, Ariz., Board of Supervisors on Monday voted to certify the results of the Nov. 8 midterm elections "under duress," claiming he was forced to do so under threat of jail time.

"I vote 'aye' under duress. I found out today that I have no choice but to vote 'Aye' or I will be arrested and charged with a felony," Gould said while casting his vote. "I don't think that that is what the founders had in mind when they used the democratic process to elect our leaders."

"I find that very disheartening," he concluded. Video footage of the vote showed Gould raise his objections. Just the News has sought comment from Gould.

"I found out today that I have no choice but to vote "Aye" or I will be arrested and charged with a felony."

Ron Gould of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors was told he would be arrested if he did not certify the election.

Mohave was certified under duress."

“The petition for Mandamus would have resulted in the issuance of a writ ordering the certification”

No court can order someone to certify something they think is a lie. Maybe they can order the vote to happen, but they cannot order an individual to vote yes.

Don’t know... but if so, she doesn’t have the guts to serve in this position.

You DO have a choice - don’t certify and be arrested.

Let's try, don't certify and leave the county until after Jan. 1, 2023.

We even have people on this very forum who think this is much ado about nothing.

Even here.

Exactly, go into hiding. Dems have done this several times. Or better yet, sit there in your seat and say you refuse to swear that a stuffed ballot box was honest.
Dare them to walk up and arrest you.

There job was to certify their county, not hold theirs up due to concerns about another.

I’m missing something. What’s the point of certification if the certifiers have to certify no matter what or face legal consequences? What are they supposed to be certifying?

There job was to certify their county. There were no overriding issues in their county, thus there was no reason not to certify. Problems in another county is not their concern in their capacity.

“There job was to certify their county, not hold theirs up due to concerns about another.”

Well, that’s why I asked what was wrong with the election in Mojave County, because the Mojave board supervisors are supposed to be certifying the vote in Mojave County only.

If they have proof the election in Mojave County was stolen, then of course they shouldn’t certify it. But like I posted before, Kari Lake won 75% of the vote in Mojave compared to Hobbs’ 25%, so how was the election in Mojave County stolen?

The bravest election integrity folks we have, apparently, are Mike Lindell and the True the Vote folks....Catherine and Gregg.

The people arrested for Jan 6th are still in jail... they are political prisoners at this point. There is no guarantee they would be out in a couple of days.
