Today many industries are the same. While they won't be killed (usually) they won't get government contracts, funding, tax breaks, etc. if they don't fit in with the government ideals. The Covid jab is an example.

Oh - I forgot. The most glaring is health insurance. Also known as “health care”. “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.”
Notice how the Biden Admin has not come out on either side regarding the protests in China, Iran, etc?

It's not a Left/Right thing. It's the hard-core communists defining themselves by telling us what they are not.
This all started back before WWII in Germany. The pre-war Communist Party of Germany was thoroughly Stalinist and was largely funded and controlled by the Comintern in Russia.
The prewar Communism Party of Germany referred to all opposition parties as "fascists."
So when the Democrats call us "fascists," they probably have no idea what a fascist is. They are just merely telling us--just as they did in prewar Germany--that they are communists.
Among the twisted academic and political tricks of the 20th century has been the proliferation of supposedly different systems of government, but all of these "different" systems have at their core the same principle: big, powerful and invasive government.
On a model which would cluster all these together, the opposing pole would be small, far less powerful and non-invasive government.
All the terms are merely like the shells or cups which almost never hide the palmed pea, or the three card monte which is constructed to cheat the marks.
"Small, far less powerful and non-invasive government" is my understanding of what it is to be conservative, arrayed against the liberal, though neither term suffices.

Further, Republicans richly deserve a comparison with Neville Chamberlain. That leaves True America with neither voice nor influence.

True that. Commies have a had a home in the demonkkrap party for decades. Yet commies in the West have a deep history of using the tactic of denying that they are commies.
Our young people are generally ignorant, have not studied US history and communism. Their knowledge seems to be that communism died when the Soviet Union fell with the Berlin Wall. The commie denial tactic and limiting the knowledge of communism is analogous to the saying about the denial of the existence of Satan ... if one does not believe that Satan exists, his job is much easier.
We have become neither Socialist nor Communist.
We are now fully a Fascist nation, heading like a runaway truck toward being a full blown National Socialist American Workers Party state. Remember, when a country's ruling class continually stress that they are a democracy or a republic, they are, as a rule of thumb neither.
I think it's quite clever of the commies in America to not run around screaming that they are commies. They infiltrate as caring, virtue-signaling everyday Americans and no one knows their true identity.
They're like rattlesnakes in your backyard pretending to be bunnies.

Not disagreeing with the article, but the eagle is NOT holding a "bundle of sticks", it is holding a bundle of arrows. The olive branch in its right talon symbolizes the U.S. desire for peaceful relationships. The arrows in the left talon symbolize U.S. willingness to fight if necessary.
This is pretty basic stuff, and I'd expect a professional writer to know this, or at least to bother to look it up.
Fascist leaders at least acted like they supported the Family unit of their country. American leftists straight up hate the family and want to destroy it
Anyone voluntering for the military now is either a fascist or is willfully supporting facism. Those re-enlisting now are facists.
