I understand your concerns and an sympathetic having felt the pain myself.
Let’s be honest to a certain certain degree that is true of every business and service. When things work people people just it ignore go on about their business. Crucial services such as water, power, gas and now Internet get immediate attention when they fail. It’s only human nature.
I trained my offspring and the people around me (as much as I can) to be grateful for things that function correctly. And to search out, as much as possible, and find the ones that can correct it.
We use the following mantra:
Have you told the ones that can fix it; did you thank the ones that did the work.
For example, every time I’m in a restaurant I seek out the manager or the person in charge and thank them for their work and the work of the crew. I also go out of my way to make servers and the kitchen staff feel appreciated. But I’m not shy about finding the manager if something’s wrong.
Be safe. It’s an angry world out there.
Have you told the ones that can fix it; did you thank the ones that did the work.

That’s a nice tip for instilling a little appreciation where it’s do. And you’re absolutely right. We fail to say “thank you” enough to competent workers and managers.
Well done, my FRiend.
