It doesn't speak well of “the evangelical vote” for allowing a literal Dip $hit win the Governorship of Arizona. Nor does it speak well of Arizonans to accept waiting for hours to vote because the so called honest Election Officials don't know how to run an election. But of course Mr. Rogers, you would know best.
Evangelicals didn’t abandon Kari Lake, but enough McCain Republicans and Mormons did. Probably because Lake made it clear she didn’t want their vote!
If Chicago had 80% or more of people voting by mail, it would take a long time too. Or maybe not. What slows the Arizona counting is the verification and the legal requirement to “cure” a ballot: If there is a question, they call the phone number on your ballot envelope and you can come in with photo ID and answer any questions.
If the vote is close enough, absentee ballots with a postmark of the day of election have to be counted. That isn’t fraud. I’m ex military and I wanted MY vote counted.
Since over 80% of Arizona voters vote by mail, it will NOT be eliminated. And maybe if more Republicans HAD voted by mail instead of waiting until election day to go in person, Kari Lake would be our next governor!
But if conservatives want to win in 2024, nominating a loose cannon who cannot win is DUMB. Heck, if the GOP candidate can’t even consolidate the GOP vote, then what hope is there of winning independents?
You want the emotional satisfaction. I want to win in 2024 and get Biden/Harris OUT OF OFFICE. And Trump won’t deliver on that because he isn’t the relatively unknown quantity he was in 2016 and his behavior since losing in 2020 - fraud or not - has been increasingly erratic. He’s shot himself in both feet and both knees. No one to blame but himself.
