When I was a Jaycee, many moons ago, I served on the board with a beer drinking buddy. He was married with two children and was a successful businessman.
He announced one day he preferred life as a woman, left his family. I guess he took care of them.
His business continued and even thrived.

His business thrived? Of course it did. There are lots of government contracts set aside for women & minorities, as well as grants and low-interest loans and various other preferences. Ain’t life grand!
