Russian attacks caused nearly $2 billion worth of damage to Ukrainian power grid
New Voice of the Ukraine ^ | 11/23/22 | Denys Shmyhal

Ukrainian power grid operator Ukrenergo has suffered over UAH 70 billion ($1.9 bil-lion) in losses as a result of Russian attacks on the Ukrainian power grid, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said during a Cabinet meeting on Nov. 22.

70 repair crews, totaling over 1,000 workers, are currently working to restore the grids, the PM added. Widespread power outages across the country will continue as the work goes on, he noted.

“To put it plainly, there are substations and power transmission networks between the power generation plants and our homes,” he explained.

According to transportation secretary buttplug, all their problems would be solved by just transitioning to 70k electric vehicles.

How long before zelenski includes those subsidies in his wish list?

Pony up folks. Between Ukraine and the climate cash-for-oligarchs scheme, we are more than broke.

We can apply tariffs to Russian goods after the war is over to collect damages for Ukraine.

The war was scary, then sad, and now honestly it’s getting more and more comical. Zelensky, sitting there in the dark, in his greet T-shirt. And now maybe he wants to shave but can’t plug in his razor and there isn’t enough water to waste...LOL.

In the Kyiv region, a Ukrainian air defense missile again fell on a high-rise building, there are victims.

During the Russian missile strike on energy facilities in Kyiv, debris fell on a residential building. Ukrainian media traditionally blamed Russia for attacking civilian infrastructure, but pictures from the site of the incident contain some very curious details.

One photo shows the word “LIFT” written in Latin letters. As our German colleagues from Ubersicht_Ukraine_Kanal note, the marking is fully identical to that on the engine of an AIM-120 missile. Which, in turn, are part of the NASAMS 2 systems supplied to Ukraine.

So the residents of Kyiv can once again thank the Ukrainian air defense system (and now the American military-industrial complex) for the destruction of residential buildings in the city.

Another victim of the work of the Ukrainian air defense. In addition to a house in Kiev, which was hit by a NATO NASMAS air defense system, a house in Vyshgorod was also hit by an anti-aircraft missile. In total, 6 people died as a result of hits on residential buildings. After the murder of two Polish farmers, the Ukrainian air defense returned to the routine practice of killing Ukrainians.

That’s if anyone is willing to buy from Russia after the war.

Russia has damaged a lot of relations for a very long time by doing things like bombing civilian energy infrastructure. People aren’t going to forget that.

Tariffs on goods we have sanctioned, no longer import, and after all trade with them is killed by the west, and they are cut off from SWIFT?

That’s a GREAT idea!

We stole something like 600 billion in their gold and currency on deposit here. Stopped all trade. Cut them off from western banking, stopped their airliners from crossing or landing, blew up their pipeline to Germany, flooded weapons to the nazi dominated Uke army.... And you think they are gonna simply return to the way things were?

They are dealing with Brazil, Africa, China, India, Turkey, South America in general, Iran, the Saudis, etc. They aren’t coming back to our depraved corrupt country and it’s debased currency.

Russia needs to diverse their economy beyond oil. But it doesn't matter. It's a $#Itty nation. Much like Venezuela or North Korea.

Unless we've declared war on them, I would have just returned it to their bank in Moscow.
