Ice Cube, alliteration aside, is a very smart guy (and also very very funny). He’s one of the best wordsmiths for his style of music, and has always had politically charged lyrics in his albums.
Obviously he has a street level feel for his people and I think that it was right for Trump to reach out to him for support, but it was done terribly and haphazardly with that Platinum Plan, where it was like here’s $500 billion, we want you to support us. This is not how reaching out should be done.
Were I in the Trump administration, Ice Cube would be someone I would reach out to because of the influence he has. Trump chose the right person, but effed it all up.
Trump’s track record for managing his managers is all jacked up. Some of the flakes, chicks and leakers he put in high levels with his administration is beyond belief. Covfefe
