Authorities in the Arab Gulf state of Qatar are prohibiting Jewish visitors from purchasing cooked kosher food or organizing prayer groups during their stay in the country for the World Cup, leading Jewish groups to accuse Doha of reneging on its promise to protect the religious rights of sports fans during the World Cup.
Qatar has no diplomatic relations with Israel, but as a condition of its hosting the World Cup, FIFA mandated that Qatar not bar fans based on their nationality.
With thousands of Israelis expected to travel to Doha for the games, Qatar agreed to permit Israel to operate a temporary consular services office for the duration of the World Cup.
In addition, Jewish groups say they received a commitment from Doha that Jewish religious needs would not be interfered with during the World Cup, including the sale of kosher food and organizing of Jewish prayer services.
On Sunday, however, multiple Jewish organizations accused Qatar of breaking its promise, saying that local officials have banned the sale of cooked kosher food and organizing of Jewish prayer services in public.

Hot chicks with GUNS!
I travel a ton. My go-to choice of food is sushi that I watch being made.
Nothing to be mad at.
They’re not observant and don’t follow the Torah.
Hypocrites don’t represent Judaism, despite how often they claim to speak for it.
While observant Jews get the media attention, most US Jews in the US are “ethnic Jews” and do not follow the “rules” at all.
Or Christian communities, no doubt.
Isn’t there a Christian community in Israel? Mainly ethnic Arab speakers and Armenians, but also recently Russians, such as people who married Jews and came with them to Israel?
When the private dorm, put up a Christmas tree, a Jewish fellow dormer, called it a Haunakah bush.
Well I said to myself, if he wants to call a Christmas tree that, no problem, but I wasn't going to call a menorah an 8 candle Christmas decoration.
By far most of the meat and poultry for sale in Israel is strictly kosher. That secularized U.S. Jewish teens were eating bacon in the dorms of their secular Midwest college has minimal bearing on the discussion of Qatar’s not keeping its promise to Israel/the Jewish people.
Yes, several kinds.
There are some Russians (and other Eastern European) who are ethnically mixed, but not that many. People hear about this bc people like to grumble. It’s also where our version of the mafia comes from. Even the occasional skin head/Nazi type which is pretty funny.
There are some Armenians who have been In Jerusalem for years who are extremely anti-Semitic to the point they rejected being in a state with free Jews and retained Jordanian citizenship with permanent resident status in Israel.
The largest group are Arab who fled the PA because of religious persecution. They serve in the IDF, do all the things. Wealthiest and most educated demographic in Israel, in fact.
That, too, I suppose.
