In decades past, with paper ballots, we knew the results the same night, at the very worst in unusual cases, the next morning. Now in the information age, it takes weeks, all kinds of problems happen, and last but not least, the concept of a secret ballot is destroyed. If they can call you down to cure your ballot, that means they can identify a person to a vote. How do you think that works out in minority neighborhoods? Or in union areas? It’s a subtle message, we can call you down to fix your ballot.

This post will blow your hair back.
More creepy stuff the Democrat Media fails to point out.

With paper ballots hand counted on election night there were no multi-million dollar contracts for voting machines that cheat. IMHO, absentee voting is a privilege, not a right. With all of the mail in ballot fraud, mail in ballots shouldn't be completely anonymous. If you want your vote to be confidential, vote in person. Mail in ballots could have a code so that the voter isn't obvious to the naked eye, but identifiable so that when the cheaters commingle fraudulent ballots with the valid ones, the fraud can be removed.
