I have repeatedly said I don’t care about either. My “support” is all in your head and not real.

The US isn’t giving $80 billion and weapons to any African nation.
There also isn’t 50 threads a day about either African country.
No African country has 5,000+ nukes.

“Yeah. It did. Once the US/NATO conducted a vicious coup in 2014, Russia stepped in to defend Ukraine...”

Defending Ukraine by invading it and annexing its territory? Such a benevolent “defender.”

And you know that it was Russia’s pool boy in Ukraine, Yanukovych, who ordered security forces to fire on demonstrators in Kyiv in late, 2013, right?

Fake news. It was elements of the coup-plotters, the Right Sektor. Got to turn the western media outrage to "11," right?

“Have you learned nothing or is this ignorance?”

I think a lot of these opinions stem from a selfish, stunted form of patriotism.

The Marshall Plan was 75 years ago.

So, you are not really for the war ending, unless the end results in a Ukrainian defeat. You said in your post #32 that you would NOT be okay with the war ending if the removal of Putin led to that end.

At least you are honest about it. You don’t so much want to see the war end, as much as you want to see Ukraine defeated and Russia victorious.

But, I do appreciate your honesty.

In the end, there will be a negotiated border.

Too bad it had to go this way, instead of like Czechoslovakia.

The big questions are: How many more will die? How many more billions will be funneled to the MIC to pay them for war everlasting? Or to be laundered and hidden in black budgets?

[$50 billion per year blown on Afghanistan switched to even more blown on Ukraine, without missing a beat.]

The Korean War went from "the 50-yard-line" back to "our" 1-yard-line, and up to "their" 1-yard-line and wound up....back at the 50 yard line. A million or so dead, the country wrecked from end to end.

Let's negotiate a workable boundary. It's been done before. Better before more die.

It speaks for itself. More than one red line has been irrefutably crossed.

There will be no more “moving east” when Russia’s neighbors feel safe with Russia next door. But they won’t, because Russia is as big a collective a**h**e as its supporters are. A fundamentally sick society that cannot help being vile and dangerous to anyone and everyone.

Russia is always, ever, about fists and threats and swindles, never grace, charity or generosity.

“Sparky, it was the West who provoked Russia. Have you learned nothing or is this ignorance?”

Sparky, Russia has been screwing around in Ukraine for over a hundred years. Hell, even after Ukraine became independent in 1991 Russia only gave lip service to its independence, then in short order started making comments about its illegitimacy.

Ukraine posed no threat to Russia. The fiction that Russia did not want NATO on its borders? Just that: FICTION! There have been five NATO countries on Russia’s border for years, but Russia did not invade any of them; nor did it make any threats against them (Note: Those five are Norway; Estonia; Latvia, Lithuania; and Poland). There will soon be at least one more: Finland (which, since 1994 has had formal relations with NATO).

What do those five countries have in common? All five of them felt the Russian boot on its neck, and not a one of them wants to feel it again.

So, the “fear” of Ukraine joining NATO (which wasn’t going to happen anyway because Ukraine did not meet the criteria) was just another flimsy excuse for invasion.

I get it: You are a known and avowed supporter of Russia. It prevents you from being objective. Unless...unless you are just playing a role, perhaps for remuneration.

“The US isn’t giving $80 billion and weapons to any African nation.”

Actually, we have given more over the years: At least $85 BILLION to Egypt alone.

“There also isn’t 50 threads a day about either African country.”

You can start one, since you brought up their names. One about Somalia should be a real hoot.

“No African country has 5,000+ nukes.”

I’ve got news for you: Only ONE country has 5,000+ nukes: Russia.

There are better ways to end it, such as end Zelenskyy.

________________________________________________________

Zelenskyy is Ukraine’s President Trump. He may not share a lot of my values but his country seems to approve of him.

What are his options? Surrender and let Ukraine be absorbed by Russia? I don’t see an option that is good for Ukraine short of getting Russia out of Ukraine.

Putin is a war criminal. War is Hell for sure but the people of Ukraine are not that much different than most of Europe in their social structures and beliefs. I suspect Ukraine has suffered losses well in excess of 100,000 people dead no telling how many injured. Time for Putin to burn in Hell.
