We are just a few days removed from President Donald Trump’s big announcement that he is planning on running for president again in 2024.
Everyone and their brother has an opinion of how the speech went.
Scared democrats claim it was “boring” and that Trump stands no chance.
The RINOs also appear unimpressed.
However, others had a more positive reaction to Trump’s latest announcement.
Count former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee among the latter.
Huckabee claims that the message delivered by President Trump in his speech will make him “unbeatable” in 2024, no matter who he runs against in the GOP primary or the general election.
Huckabee also said that Trump delivered a “pitch perfect speech,” that served to remind the American people why they voted for him in the first place.

Newsmax has more on Huckabee’s assessment of President Trump’s speech:
“I thought it was a pitch perfect speech,” Huckabee, changing his tune from earlier in the day on Newsmax. “I thought it was constructed brilliantly. He laid out the case for why he needed to run. He announced that he was going to run. But the most important thing he did tonight, he reminded us of why he won in the first place, because he made it about the American people and he talked about this is not my campaign, this is your campaign.”
This message can make him “unbeatable,” no matter who runs, according to Huckabee.
“This is the message that, if he sticks to it, I believe will make him unbeatable, unbeatable in the primary and unbeatable in the general election,” Huckabee continued.
“We need a party that fights for working class men and women who come home bone tired from a day’s work, having sweat through their clothes, and they know that somebody in a place of power is fighting for them.
Trump got his mojo back 2nite. I was apprehensive he'd announce while GA Senate race in play, but he urged ppl to go vote for @HerschelWalker & Trump speech was pitch perfect–he focused on the American ppl and the future, not the past. If he stays on this path, he's unbeatable.

Huckabee had previously expressed some concern over the timing of President Trump’s announcement given what is going on with the Georgia senate race.
However, he quickly dispelled those concerns after Trump gave a speech that put America first.

Fox News has more:
“I just hope that the people of Georgia give America a wonderful gift. If the [Georgia Bulldogs] can take number one in football, I’m okay with that. But please send us Herschel Walker to the U.S. Senate,” the professed Arkansas Razorbacks fan added.
One member of the press redirected back to Trump, asking Huckabee whether it would have been better if Trump had waited to make his announcement until after the runoff.

“Well, for his own reasons he didn’t, so now that he didn’t, thank goodness he talked about Herschel in his speech,” Huckabee said. “And I thought his speech last night, my assessment, it was pitch perfect. It was the Donald Trump that focused on the people of America. He didn’t talk about himself. And he talked about why he ran before and why he wants to run again.”

If you think that is a winning strategy, you are going to be disappointed in Nov 2024.
... you don’t read much I see, get most of your news from MSNBC? Sounds like it, but just ignore 3000 sworn affidavits... ymmv...
“If you think that is a winning strategy, you are going to be disappointed in Nov 2024.” - said the Democrats.
I’m not listening to them anymore. I’m done doing what they advise me is best.
If it doesn’t work out, ok then. My mind is right for the follow-on strategy.
Not a single court accepted and worked on those 3000 affidavits! Why??????
The issue isn’t the nomination. For the sake of argument, I will grant he is unbeatable for the nomination if he still wants it by July 2024.
I think there is zero chance he wins the general.
Too many suburban housewives who might otherwise be inclined to vote GOP due to economic reasons cannot stand Trump and would vote Dem based on EMOTIONS. It would be very difficult for him to win because of this.
Desantis brings a more “wholesome” vibe with a pretty wife, a breast cancer survivor and cute little kids. Suburban housewives love that image and their emotional and rational processes would more likely align for a GOP vote.
Trump has too many problems with this key dynamic.
