Putin 'will announce massive new mobilisation and martial law' in desperate move that could hasten coup to dump ailing leader.......

A desperate Vladimir Putin will seek to massively boost mobilisation by sending more troops to fight in Ukraine, and impose martial law in many Russian cities, it was forecast today.

Yet the draconian moves could trigger a coup from within the elite even before his 'poor health' incapacitates him, says one expert.

And he is now using body doubles who are so like him, it is impossible to tell the difference, it is claimed. The scheme comes as Putin's men were forced to retreat from Kherson last week

This comes as the first train arrived in the liberated city since the initial invasion

The 70-year-old Kremlin leader - who is believed to be suffering from cancer and possibly other ailments - is actively discussing a new forced enlistment to swell yet further the size of the Russian army fighting in Ukraine.

Putin's new scheme comes as Russian troops were forced to pull back from the strategic stronghold of Kherson last week as Ukrainian forces reentered to liberate the city.

The Russian president has already drafted 360,000 on top of his one million strong regular army, yet the results have remained poor.

But the New Year is likely to see another massive call-up as he raids offices and factories for what critics see as cannon fodder.

One theory is that he will want to persuade Russians they are fighting a 'popular war' to protect their country's existence against a threat from the West.

Putin-watcher Valery Solovey, a former professor at Moscow's prestigious Institute of International Relations [MGIMO], a training school for spies and diplomats, said: 'With a high degree of probability, the second stage of mobilisation will be announced after the New Year celebrations…'

It will be 'more comprehensive than the first.'

I assume this story will be denied, and attacked as western propaganda by the usual suspects, who will shortly thereafter do a 180 and declare that this is why the war will be over by March.

If I dollar for every time one of the British rags published a piece this year about “dying Putin” on the bring being deposed, well, I’d have a couple hundred bucks. Nice that Mi-6 keeps up its grand tradition in the journalism field.

Anytime a “war” article has tons of adjectives, it’s BS/propaganda.
Oh yeah, and if it’s British...

These areas that Putin as abandoned, like Kherson. I don’t honestly know that he really wanted them to begin with. It’s been obvious to me from the beginning all Putin really wanted was a land bridge to the stolen area of Crimea, which would give Russia complete control of the Sea of Azov.

Bad Vlad has virulent cancer and will be deposed soon. He will be sent to his doctors down in Sochi for his final “cures” and injections that will kill him. Deposed by a coalition of Patrushev, Prigozhin and Muslim Chechen Kadryrov.

Prigozhin is Putin’s chef, and leader of the criminal recruiting Wagner group. His own private army. That functions better than the corruption ridden Russian army.

Who has independent armies here that are not under pathetic Putin’s control? ? Prigozhin and Kadyrov

Putin is desperate to expand his empire back to Cold War borders. Desperate leaders tend to over-reach and miscalculate. Putin is dangerous and his invasion of Ukraine defies logic.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

You’ve got to be kidding! Who could question such a forthright, ethical and unassailable publication such as the Daily Mail and its subsidiaries?

🙄

😂

Like NATO has expanded from it's original 12 countries to it's current 30, with 2 pending?

Doesn't make sense. Putin annexes a region and then retreats because he didn't want them. Russians retreated from Lyman, an important regional railroad hub, that took them months of fighting to gain.

Russian forces retreat from strategic Donetsk city a day after Moscow’s annexation of the region

Just like in the Soviet invasion of Finland prior to WWII, Putin hopes to drown the Ukrainians in a massive flood of Slav blood.

I hope the Russians can save themselves from a dying dictator’s final desires.

Well, here's one about the Ukrainian flag being raised in the center square of Kherson after the Russians fled from the city:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11425375/Our-hero-Tears-smiles-cheering-crowds-welcome-President-Zelensky-liberated-Kherson.html Which, coincidentally, a bunch of the pro-Russian posters said would never happen, was just a bunch of western propaganda, and that the Russians were going to annihilate any Ukrainians who entered Kherson.

We both know how that turned out, don't we?

No. Because every single country that join NATO did so voluntarily, via a vote by a democratically elected legislature. So as long as Russia itself never chose to join NATO, NATO never presented a threat to absorb Russia.

That's as opposed to Russia invading another country to take its territory by force.
