Doubts have today been raised over whether a missile which hit Poland earlier this week really was a Ukrainian rocket gone haywire, with US and European officials calling for further investigation as President Zelensky continues to insist it was a Russian weapon.
Polish President Andrzej Duda and NATO leaders yesterday played down suspicions that Moscow was behind the S-300 missile which hit the town of Przewodow on Tuesday, killing two, insisting it was 'highly probable' that it had come from Kyiv's forces – meaning the allies will not respond militarily, which could have sparked WW3.
But President Zelensky yesterday insisted that he has 'no doubt that it was not our missile' based on military intelligence, and accused Ukraine's Western allies of blocking his investigators from inspecting the crash site or being part of the probe into exactly what had happened.

Or it could’ve been a false flag (although why bomb farmland in the middle of nowhere?)
Or it could’ve been launched to intercept a missile coming from Belarus.
Of course our resident Putinistas avoid the obviously point that if Russia confined its rocketry to targets in south and east Ukraine instead of trying to hit central, north and west Ukraine, then Poland and Moldova wouldn’t be at risk at all.
Russia’s been firing into Khmelnytskyi Oblast recently. I know it well. It’s named for a very small city with no direct relevance to the conflict beyond hosting a few thousand displaced persons, and has a smaller city with a nuclear power station.
Where is Russia firing at it from? Certainly not Russia. Either its missiles are traveling south out of Belarus or north out of the occupied region. Either way, Ukraine has incoming to shoot at.
And if that’s true also for population centers north or east of that Oblast, it means a wayward Russian missile OR a wayward Ukrainian missile could easily end up travelling some distance off course and into a neighbor.
If Russia wasn’t firing that deep into Ukraine then Zelenskyy wouldn’t have a leg to stand on. He has plausible deniability because Russia has been firing deep into areas far outside the theater of conflict. Even if the missile is Ukrainian, it would be difficult to prove that it was deliberately fired at Poland.
I’m optimistic about their new president. He has refused to meet with or be photographed with Ustaše (Nazi) groups, including Ustaše type veterans’ groups. He’s also stood up to the EU for his country instead of being a German boot licker. Good signs. I like this guy.
Why would anyone believe Zelensky? He is an Obama puppet put in place to destroy Ukrainian society. Obama is definitely one of the anti-Christs.
I agree 100% with this sentiment and likewise Taiwan, Tibet, Korea, Libya, Iraq, Affhanistan, etc. are examples of foreign entanglements Washington warned of and our Founders provided no enumerated powers in our Constitution to pay for this in money and lives.
my point is that it is silly to believe that we do not know where this was launched. Now, it is right to assume that our government will lie about it in every case to suit the needs of the Uniparty and our "allies" will do the same. Stray missles or anti-missle systems create collateral damage. No causus-belli but plenty of causus-cephalalgia.
“President Zelenski needed to determine if photos that appeared on “Facebook” were the actual photos of the 1-2 missiles that landed in Poland.”
If you recall, the information President Zelensky received from his military command was that it was not 1-2 Ukrainian missles.
Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky, called for investigations into the missile explosion in the eastern Polish village of Przewodow on Tuesday.
“The Ukrainian position is very transparent: we strive to establish all the details, every fact,” Zelensky said. “That is why we need our specialists to join the work of the international investigation and to get access to all the data available to our [NATO] partners and the site of the explosion.”
No pickles.
After ‘missile/s’ not determined to be Russian,Zelensky also expressed his condolences to Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda for the two people killed in the explosion and held a minute’s silence.
NATO Article 4 & 5 didn’t even answer Mr Radical’s original question. No confusion here. Zelensky did not feel entitled. however REQUESTED to send investigators to Poland.

Once again, thank you for your thoughtful assessment and comment.

I’m starting to really question whether that missile was Ukrainian, the crater looks pretty substantial. I thought air defence missiles don’t usually have that big of a payload, also thought they self destruct when they don’t hit there target ? #Poland

No doubt that it was fired by the Ukrainians. They also started to scream “Russian attack on Europe” over it.
The missiles in question have a CEP of 10 ft.
“The Ukrainian position is very transparent: we strive to establish all the details, every fact,” Zelensky said. “That is why we need our specialists to join the work of the international investigation and to get access to all the data available to our [NATO] partners and the site of the explosion.”
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has tried to pass off video game footage as actual IRL combat footage at LEAST three times in this conflict that I can recall. Their claims of transparency are about as worthwhile as Russia’s in my opinion.
We have no business getting involved in yet another ethnic feud between Slavic countries, and all attempts at escalating what SHOULD be a regional conflict into a wider intercontinental war should be rejected outright.
The warhead of the missile did not explode, leaving the falling steel case mostly intact. This permitted it to be photographed and identified. This was bad luck for the conspiring warmongers whose plan to trigger an all-out war was stymied.
This early S-300 (circa 1979) has a maximum range of only 75 kilometers so it was impossible for the Russians to have fired it from the positions they occupy.
How can a Ukrainian air defense missile fly westbound from Ukraine into Poland when it is an air defense missile used to fly eastbound to intercept westbound Russian missiles over Ukraine?
This was a deliberate attempt at provocation by Ukraine because this missile had to have been sent westward toward Poland.
Further, both NATO and Russia have satellite surveillance and both sides knew instantly when this missile was launched, where it was launched and the direction it flew.
As to the geography, in theory a Russian missile struck by a Ukrainian weapon could have been travelling from north to south along that border from either Kaliningrad oblast or a Russian ship in the Baltic. It may not have entered Poland’s air space but the interception could have steered it there, or the Ukrainian shot fell within Poland. A larger war would only start if there were clear signs of organized aggression against a NATO country and not over some isolated incident even one more serious than this.
I can’t see this going on much longer. The cost of our support of Zelensky’s efforts will eventually prove to be too much and pressure will be placed on him to accept a less than ideal settlement (less than ideal from Zelensky’s point of view). Biden and the rest of NATO were idiots to go this far. That’s what they should have said in March.
LARGE BLAST CRATER means this was done by a Russian missile

Agree with your point, as has the NATO nations under Article 5 “must take such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.”
Article #5 authorizes the NATO alliance to launch an armed response, but the wording is broad leaving room for other types of action.
However, this answers the interesting question: why did Russia agreed to a declaration condemning its own war in Ukraine?

That tractor is surprisingly intact for being so close to an alleged direct hit from an alleged cruise missile.
Apparently the Twitterazzi didn’t get the memo.
You nailed it. For everyone who k ows a thing or two it is clear that the “stray” missile doesn’t stray by 150 miles. Especially a missile with tons of failsafes controlled by the command channel.
Simple: they didn't.
From the G20 Bali declaration: "This year, we have also witnessed the war in Ukraine further adversely impact the global economy. There was a discussion on the issue. We reiterated our national positions as expressed in other fora, including the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, which, in Resolution No. ES-11/1 dated 2 March 2022, as adopted by majority vote (141 votes for, 5 against, 35 abstentions, 12 absent) deplores in the strongest terms the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and demands its complete and unconditional withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine. Most members strongly condemned the war in Ukraine and stressed it is causing immense human suffering and exacerbating existing fragilities in the global economy – constraining growth, increasing inflation, disrupting supply chains, heightening energy and food insecurity, and elevating financial stability risks. There were other views and different assessments of the situation and sanctions. Recognizing that the G20 is not the forum to resolve security issues, we acknowledge that security issues can have significant consequences for the global economy."
Translated: "most G20 members condemned Russia's actions. Russia disagrees with their assessment."
I see lots of wooden debris in a large crater. Anti missile missiles do not have large payloads
Well of course they did. Why pass up an opportunity for propaganda? But it didn’t get very far. And most have forgot it by now.
