Republicans Hold Arizona State Legislature Despite National Democrats Spending $8.1 Million to Flip Both Chambers

Republicans retained control of both their majorities in the state Legislature in Arizona, beating back $8.1 million in spending from national liberal groups.

“Despite national Democrat groups pouring unprecedented amounts of money into Arizona to try to flip the GOP-controlled Legislature, Republicans triumphed and held both chambers,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “For the past two years, Republican-controlled Phoenix has been a bulwark against Joe Biden’s failures by passing the largest tax cut in state history, implementing landmark school choice legislation, and taking matters into its own hands to secure the border. Arizonans affirmed that they could not be fooled by the national liberal money machine and want two more years of commonsense conservative policies. Congratulations to Arizona Republicans on a tremendous victory.”

National liberal groups like the States Project, Forward Majority, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and others made clear their goal was to flip both chambers in Arizona’s state legislature from red to blue and spent big to do so. Their mammoth investments allowed Democrats to outspend Republicans 32:1 on television in state legislative races.

This will be the only thing holding Arizona back from becoming Calizona. Look for the Dems to be spending big bucks here to get the legislature flipped.

I want to know how many ballots in AZ only marked the major office holder jobs…wanna bet there are at least 300,000 ballots that had just 4-5 candidates marked….

AZ can pay for another big audit, but it would be far cheaper if the legislature would get on with impeaching cheating Dems and fixing their corrupt elections.

What are the GOP margins in each house?

So the Republicans win the state legislature and US House seats but lose the US Senate and Governor seat. This dog don’t hunt.

it’s much harder to steal a down ballot race for a number of reasons.

Last I heard it was about 17 vs 13 in the Senate and 33 to 27 in the legislature. A couple of races were still counting tho so those numbers were just guesses and may improve a bit for us. Slightly better than last term too.

I am of the opinion that AZ Legislature should grow a backbone and audit the election

They should do another forensic audit.

Did the lessons from the last audit get applied, if not why?

What are the new lessons.

Every state in the union should learn from AZ and should do their own audits as well.

If Trump did not interfered into AZ, the state would be in great shape.
All statewide races endorsed by Trump (4) lost!
All statewide races NOT endorsed by Trump (5) Won!
Trump really messed up Arizona!

Sadly, there has long been a John McCain/Jeff Flake-loving group of R’s in AZ… who can be counted on to join Democrats in close elections when their panties are in a bunch over something.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least.
The Arizona election was as much a GOP purge of MAGA canidates as a Democrat steal.
That is how the Uniparty rolls.

Partner, I agree with your statement of what the DemonRats are doing in Arizona.

Previously, in 2020 elections the election itself was declared uncertifiable by the State of Arizona.

In 2022 elections the DemonRats must declare the election uncertifiable.

The Arizona legislature had two years after 2020 to amend their election laws to prevent exactly what just happened. They failed.

Let’s hope there are some genuine America First patriots that just got elected to the 2023 Arizona legislature who have the courage, conviction, and fortitude to stand in the breach.

For all the good that it's done.

Time for the AZ legislature to take on rampant election cheating. Outlaw mail in ballots, make election day a day that ends at midnight.

“Last I heard it was about 17 vs 13 in the Senate and 33 to 27 in the legislature.”

According to the redistricting expert analysts, the effects of of the new district lines were supposed to benefit the GOP to the effect of maybe +1 in the AZ Senate and +1 to +3 in the AZ House.

So the end results (if 17-13 and 33-27 are in fact are the end results), are right in line with those expectations.

It doesn’t exactly get us back to the good old days of 2010 or so, but then Arizona isn’t the same state it was in 2010 and the changes sure aren’t for the better; we’re probably not going to see outcomes like 2010 ever again.

Interesting

In Arizona, republicans have the governors office, legislature, and AGs office, but they let corrupt county officials and a clown for SOS ruin their entire election process. Twice.

They could have changed the voting rules. They chose not to. State is a mess.

Are they complicit in everything? A betting man would think that Ducey and Brnovich are?

They have a large enough majority to do things even with a few defections. AZ can be the first state to decertify the fraudulent 2020 election. That doesn't require the governor's approval. They can also declare an invasion from the Southern border. Investigations and impeachment powers means the legislature can subpoena things that Maricopa County doesn't want seen. The question is, will they do these things? This is not a time for politics as usual.
