I broke up with Fox Business' Stuart Varney today

Stuart Varney's show on Fox Business has been a staple for me in the mornings for a very long time. I liked him — his story, his style, and the way he brings along others to build their careers. He has always maintained his dignity and been civil to his guests.

Now, however, he has a full-blown case of Trump Derangement Syndrome and is blowing a long career for it. He doesn't like Trump. Okay, I get it. Since just before the election, however, he has become an activist and an unfair one at that. He has a segment called "my take" where he clearly states his opinions. The entire program is now "my take."

We are all disappointed in the election results, but he has put all his energy into lobbying for Ron DeSantis and destroying Trump. I don't think he is helping the Florida governor much. Neither Trump nor DeSantis nor the Republican Party needs a fight right now. But Varney wants one and is spending his hard fought success to get it.

He aggressively states at every possible point that he doesn't think Trump can win in 2024, and that DeSantis is the "future of the party." That is not for him to decide. He solicits virtually every guest to join his crusade — even if it means political suicide for the guest. He is personally outraged that Trump "smeared" DeSantis by calling him "Ron DeSanctimonius." Varney is far more upset about this than DeSantis is. For his part, DeSantis knows that his success will beget a lot worse comments than this, and he knows that a verbal volley with The Donald at this time is a bad idea.

I thought it was fraud and thought the GOP would lose every seat in the midterms. The fact they won some indicates that perhaps Biden didn’t cheat. Well not enough anyways.

Varney more than likely got "orders from headqurters" that Trump is "persona non grata" at FOX.

Rather than risk and lose his cushy job he has succumbed to the idea of "kissing A$$!"

There is a slight difference. Varney KNOWS he's swaying more that his friends or neighbors with his opinion.

His FOX PLATFORM allows him to influence the masses.

Like most politicians DeSantis is not independently wealthy. Campaigning for office is extremely expensive. Even Trump, who underwrote most of his primary campaign to win the GOP nomination in 2016 had to depend on party funds and the big donors who fund the party (Sheldon Adelson for example) for the general election.

Money rarely come without conditions, implied or prearranged. This is why GOP politicians talk the “conservative” game to the electorate, but often vote with big corporate interests when in office.

Flinging dirt and attacking opponents and enemies, is what politics has become, and there ain't a politician who is so innocent that he is saintly (DeSantis, get it, DeSaints?).

When it comes to the number of votes, I guess you forgot (short memory again) that Trump got more votes than any other presidential candidate in history, and Biden got more, but Biden's number was inflated by the fraudulent votes that democrats fabricated out of thin ait, after election day.

If Trump gets that kind of number again, he wins. Democrats can only win by cheating, and you ought to know that.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated and harassed by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?
