DeSantis gets rapturous reception as he outlines how his Florida blueprint could work across US – moments before Trump takes to stage
Daily Mail ^

Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, was in Orlando on Tuesday night to address the Republican Governors Association conference

Delivering the keynote address at dinner, DeSantis received an 'enthusiastic' response following his re-election in a landslide last week

DeSantis 'recapped the Florida blueprint and the path to winning Hispanics, women, and independents,' sources said

The 44-year-old did not mention Donald Trump, who 200 miles south, in Mar-a-Lago, was launching his 2024 presidential campaign

Earlier on Tuesday, DeSantis was asked directly about Trump, and replied: 'I would just tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night'

DeSantis' re-election victory defied even the most optimistic estimates: Trump, by contrast, saw many of the candidates he endorsed lose

At Mar-a-Lago, Trump defied Republican critics to press ahead with his 2024 launch, and insisted he was the man to lead the party in the next election

Understanding how delusional it may seem, I still cling to the conceit that they’re working together somehow in the background.

DeSantis is being used as a vessel to take down Trump and MAGA.

Florida has done a great job cleaning up elections.

More needs to be done—all across the country.

Soros’ control of SOS’s & AG’s is a major roadblock.

“Check the scoreboard”, lololol, brilliant

Ignore the washed up loser, the perfect strategy for now.

He just needs to continue his success as Governor of Florida to set himself up for 2024.

Keep his eye on the ball, ear to the ground, nose to the grindstone, hand on the plow, foot on the brake, and head on his shoulders.

DeSantis is a Trump apprentice. He owes everything to Trump.BUt he does not have a national organization. And never will as a Trump adversary. He'd be smarter to support Trump.

Dark days may be ahead for the USA due to the rule-or-ruin attitude of the only-Trump-ers.

Trump no longer has the political strength to be elected President, but he certainly has the ability to stop any other Republican from being elected.

And the USA may be stuck forever fighting an imaginary climate change crisis, and dying from a toxic vaccine that Trump still claims was a great achievement.

It’s important to remember that DeSantis didn’t win big in Florida because he is an excellent governor, though he is an excellent governor. The Repubs won big in Florida because he cleaned up the elections there.

Lake didn’t lose in Arizona because she was a flawed candidate but because the elections there are easily perverted. The same is true with Oz in Pennsylvania.

The Dems seized control of the election systems and where they and GOPe remain in control they can control the outcome and elect whoever they want. The culture war is important, it’s fundamental, but cleaning up the elections is also basic. Neither Trump nor DeSantis can win in 2024 as long as elections in key battleground states can be stolen. They do it openly because they have no fear of the consequences.

This is getting nauseous.

Yes DeSantis has done a great job in Florida. As has the states:
Majority Republican legislature that also took on Disney, modified voting laws, among other laws passed and sent to his desk

Republican county governments, their employees and conservative sheriffs and police chiefs….Pres Trump was known for his support of law enforcement…DeSantis does it and he walks on water

A majority Republican constituency that has supported and elected the aforementioned AND all the new Republicans that have moved down there in the last few years.

Let’s see him have to fight tooth and nail every day against an adversarial Congress, including Republicans that aren’t his brand of Republican. The courts. The media. Liberal special interests lined up to challenge and sue over him waking up in the morning

So, in an effort to prove his worth, why doesn’t someone suggest his DeSantis way for NY, NJ, Rhode Island, California, Illinois, Michigan, and too many more, where he has no help.

DeSantis is being used as a vessel to take down Trump and MAGA.

And when they are finished they will concoct a sex scandal to take DeSantis down. They are so predictable.

Not sure if you saw this. Worth a read and kind of scary if they’re right

Lake’s defeat means that the Arizona electoral system will continue to function as it has since 2020, and that Republicans will be unable to win any statewide election in the foreseeable future. The same is true of any state where such rules persist.
This is my estimation of the current electoral map as it stands. Whilst NV and GA are currently unwinnable, both have GOP governors who could - but may not - change this by 2024. Regardless, the Democrats have now guaranteed victory in 270 EVs worth of States.

“Trump no longer has the political strength to be elected President...”

The man has won more votes than any Republican in the history of the country, so if he’s not a strong enough candidate then nobody is.

You come here like a liberal insulting Trump supporters, and then do the exact same thing you are accusing them of. Can I get a look into your crystal ball? I need the next lottery numbers. Trump couldn’t win in 2016 either, then he did. Trump will face unique challenges, if he gets the nomination, just like every other candidate, and whoever that is will see the media turn on them like they can’t imagine. These “heroes” you easy-path conservatives may well turn out worse.

We can win if it’s Trump OR DeSantis, but we cannot win if one of them decide to run as an Independent (ahem, Trump.)

True, that’s one advantage Trump has that isn’t mentioned much. Every little bit of dirt on him is already public knowledge and everyone has already formed an opinion of him that is mostly set in stone. No Gloria Allred November surprise will work on him.

Let’s do the record comparison.. trump gave us masking, travel restriction, big pharma billions and a vax that doesn’t work, bump stock bans, endless covid socialist checks for grandma, Mail In Ballots.. he was okay with them before he left office.
Weeks after Biden won, trump was still telling his supporters to Fauci themselves with the vax that put how much money in big pharma.
Or Florida freedom across the country.
The dems led trump by the nose into more freedom lost in a lifetime.
He would give the dems more power, based on his record.
Loved his foreign policy, but seriously… what is his statement on Hillary Clinton.
More freedom with desantis or less freedom with trump. Records still matter.
