QATAR WORLD CUP OF SHAME

Migrants building a state-of-the-art stadium for the 2022 football World Cup in Qatar are abused and exploited – while FIFA makes huge profits.

Tell FIFA and its sponsors to act now to protect migrant workers in Qatar from abuse. Migrants from Bangladesh, India and Nepal working on the refurbishment of the showcase Khalifa Stadium and landscaping the surrounding gardens and sporting facilities known as the “Aspire Zone” are being exploited. Some are being subjected to forced labour. They can’t change jobs, they can’t leave the country and they often wait months to get paid. Meanwhile, FIFA (football’s global governing body), its sponsors and the construction companies involved are set to make massive financial gains from the tournament.

Y LIFE HERE IS LIKE A PRISON. THE MANAGER SAID: ‘IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN QATAR BE QUIET AND KEEP WORKING.’ Deepak, metal worker on the Khalifa Stadium

Qatar bought the World Cup by buying FIFA. Is anyone surprised that in a Middle Eastern muslim monarchy that OSHA standards were not observed? Ever spent any tine in Saudi Arabia? Pakistanis, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, and to a certain extent Filipinos are treated worse than we treat stray animals in this country.

And the swamp rats who encourage illegal immigration for cheap labor are guilty of killing illegal aliens.

Never been to Qatar but I have spent some time in Dubai. While I was there there seemed to be more construction cranes than people. And everywhere you looked you saw men working construction...in that sun and the searing heat. They all seemed to have very dark skin...looking not like Africans but like men from Bangladesh and nearby countries.

Surprise! Just like the united states, other countries have a psuedo-caste system as well.

There's NOT ONE prison in a first world country as horrible as these work camps.

NOT ONE.
