When I visited the CalTech campus a few years back I noticed that all of the doors required key-card entry.

A big change from the 70's and 80's when you could wander through the buildings without proper ID.

I guess it makes things safer, but it also makes colleges look more like prisons than institutions of learning.

there is a cool device that you can buy online now that let’s you ‘clone’ any chipped card. so yeah you can just leave it in your wallet and go as you please.
