President Biden said Monday that he does not foresee an “imminent attempt” by China to invade Taiwan after he met for roughly three hours with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Indonesia.
Speaking to reporters after his first face-to-face meeting with Xi since becoming president, Biden shrugged off a question about whether Beijing and Washington were engaged in a new Cold War and said he made it clear in the discussion between the two leaders about where the US stands on self-governing Taiwan.
”I do not think there’s any imminent attempt on the part of China to invade Taiwan,” Biden said. “And I made it clear that our policy in Taiwan has not changed at all.”
“It’s the same exact position we’ve had made it clear that we want to see cross-strait issues peacefully resolved,” the president continued, adding that he believed Xi “understood exactly what I was saying.”

That idiot and his friends just beat your hero Trump in nationwide elections. By your reckoning is Trump less than an idiot?
I think that Biden is about 80% wrong and 20% right, and promising to defend Taiwan is the best thing he’s done during his political career.
Famous last words.
The things people do for money greed is an ambush waiting to happen.

It’s not going to happen. Not only is it not inevitable, it ain’t going to happen.
Sure. First they wait to see how the nuke war USA vs Russia goes. Right?
