The Republican state party in the ballot-collecting blue states will need to adjust to this new environment and start ballot-collecting itself. Entering Election Day staring out of a pit is not a winning strategy. But that's not enough. They will never be able to out-Democrat the Democrats, who are unbound from ethical considerations.
Republicans need to go scorched earth in trying to overturn this grotesque practice, which is more reminiscent of authoritarian regimes that want to maintain the appearance of democracy. This brings back memories of the hapless Dan Rather listening as Saddam Hussein told him he got 100% of the vote, with no pushback from the godfather of fake news.

Simple, stop mail in balloting.Okay, go ahead.

The old axiom where someone yells, “look over there folks, shiny things“… as a process of distraction, is entirely apropos of how corporations that are running our current election systems are using the Trump -v- DeSantis discussion; with the backdrop of the 2022 midterm election as context.
So, before moving forward to the heart of what we are being distracted from, check out this article from David Solway, he’s correct. Unless and until the critical issue of “votes” -vs- “ballots” is corrected, pushing DeSantis into the war against the administrative state is akin to throwing a decent general into a lost war.
[…] “In a rigged electoral system, no Republican candidate, not even DeSantis, can be expected to win a national election. DeSantis cruised to victory in Florida because, as governor of the state, he had the means and the authority to ensure a clean election. But he would be helpless against a massive crime organization, aka the Democrat Party, which effectively controls the electoral infrastructure, the physical apparatus, the paid loyalty of election workers, and the federal agencies that oversee the process. If the system is not repaired and made answerable to the people, there will never be a Republican president again.” (READ MORE)
The presumption within the article is that DeSantis is not a participating member of the corporate control system, which, despite the eloquence of the article word assembly, I am not quite willing to accept; especially, with our long history of research into how the administrative state operates proactively to control the levers of power.
However, that said…. let us assume that Deep State operatives from the U.S. State Dept and coordinated globalist operations, in combination with multinational corporations and Wall Street financing, are just accidental to the political orbit of the Florida Governor… and if the assumption of altruistic intent is the guiding naiveté I am requested to accept, then the framework of the author’s prediction is entirely accurate.
Either way, until we address the 800lb gorilla in the room of intentional mass distribution of state and federal election ballots, to low agency or non-existent recipients, for early gathering, trying to amass enough ‘votes’ to defeat a large scale and industrial ‘ballot’ gathering operation is futile.
“The main issue is ballot harvesting [legal gathering] and no-excuse universal mail in ballots. Republicans need to spend big cultivating harvesting operations in key districts across the country where it’s legal until they have enough power to outlaw it, along with no-excuse mail ins.”
[…] Remember, a ballot isn’t the same as a vote and the Democrats GOTV machine know this much better than Republicans seem to. Not saying it’s right, but it’s reality and we can’t live in fantasy land. [Tweet Thread]

I’m wondering if Free Republic could use the same ideas that states could use to clean up their voting systems, as in one important step involves fumigating the voters lists. This site is in dire need of fumigating the trolls who are not very active until a time like this and other elections and they come on and yell and shout demoralizing and rude remarks about Trump and anyone else. Plus also the regular Debbie Downer types.
There is no need, of course, to create an “everyone loves Donald” type of echo chamber here, but conversely, it does become a little obvious about the number of people who’ve been posting a lot lately and what their intent is. All of this on occasions like this over the last few years makes me think of the MTM episode in which Mary does a feature on the local singles scene in Minneapolis and goes into a singles bar and asks how many people there were actually single and many shrink away and leave, lol.

We say this every election, but we never follow through. I don’t think the GOP elite care if we’re in the majority or the minority. It doesn’t affect them either way. Whenever they make dinner reservations using their official title, nobody asks them what party they belong to.
They don’t pay the price of the Democrats’ ridiculous policies that are destroying the American way of life…but we do! Then when we finally have had enough and want to go scorched earth, the RNC says to hold our horses, they have a plan.
And then repeat the cycle…

I don’t care if Ron DeSantis is the nominee.
I don’t care if Donald Trump is the nominee.
I don’t care if the ghost of George Washington is the nominee.
If we have mail-in voting & ballot harvesting, a dead guy could win in 2024.
Take it to the bank and cash it.

Correct, but they sure do court us for our vote.
We criticize the courts for allowing people to steal, assault others and even murder and when caught let them out on the streets again.
Has it not dawned on anyone that we re doing the same thing with the politicians? We need to figure out how to make them pay a penalty.
How?
I really don;t know but what we have been doing is not working.

VinneCCT - I’m guessing Vinnie C in Connecticut?
Depends. In the blue cities/states yes. In red areas not so much. USPS employees and election workers where I live are pretty much all conservatives and most people here are honest. Also I think in most places you can drop off a mail-in ballot to your local election place.
Then there’s ballot harvesting. https://ballotpedia.org/Ballot_harvesting_(ballot_collection)_laws_by_state
Seems like we’re mostly losing federal or statewide races to these methods. That means we can play the same methods outside of the cities to make up for the cities.
We also need more conservatives working in the election systems, polling places and counting centers and not old tech challenged people. Tucker had Maricopa ballot adjudication video streaming in the background of Fri night’s show. I watched the paired up people and in most cases, one of the two looked like they knew what was going on and the other looked a little confused by the technicality of it all. Gaping mouth, eyes scanning around like they were trying to figure things out.
Purple haired woman looked confident - her female counterpart, not so much. Guy in black T-shirt with black ball cap, mouth hanging open while his counterpart looked confident.
The RNC was supposed to be training people but that’s probably low tech training no tech. Elections are done with tech now and conservatives generally suck at tech. The left also has a bunch of non-profits with millions of dollars to outdo the RNC’s effort.
You have seen those maps of blue vs red counties correct? We really do outnumber them. We would definitely outnumber them if conservatives in blue areas moved to red areas. We could shrink their electoral numbers and their revenue.
There are tons of ways to fight these commies but we have to take it seriously like we’re fighting a communist revolution because we are.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.
Trump needs to finish draining the swamp through his second term. Hopefully this will include the federal government surrendering state powers that it has been stealing from the states for the last 100+ years back to the states.
Regarding whoever gets the Oval Office after Trump, patriots are reminded of the following. The Oval Office is not the highest peacetime office in the land as FN wants people to think. The 50 governors’ offices are the highest offices in the land, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention expecting governors and citizens to exercise the 10th Amendment-protected powers of the states and the people to make their states thrive.

Harvesting ballots is only part of the problem.

Getting the White House paved the way for mail in ballots. It is Un American. This country cannot be saved by another leader in the White House if that leader is going to mask us, lock us down, cave to whatever created crisis is in the works.
There is no saving this Republic. It died under a Republican who kneeled to tyranny.

“Republicans need to fight to have ballot harvesting outlawed.”
I have watched this creeping evil for decades, and I agree with you that the best way to stop this is to fight in kind. Meet fire with fire. This is no longer a political battle, but a war against absolute evil. We can’t bask in a feeling of being the “good guys” because it will take some very nasty doings to pull this off. We will have to meet dirty with dirtier, slimey shenanighans with worse.
Short of outright war, we can’t offer any quarter to these Democrat Baby-Killing Pedophiles!

“””I really don;t know but what we have been doing is not working.”””
I agree. What I do know is that Trump was a game changer and for that reason I am sticking with him.
Though I have said to the wife that if I were Trump, I would announce on Tuesday that I am fed up with all the naysayers and instead of announcing a 2024 run I am going golfing.
Money is the more important thing for politicians. Since the Citizens United case in 2010, the politicians have been funded by the corporations.
And many of those corporations have moved their factories to Asia to make garbage at cheap labor prices. So these corporations are committed to making America a CONSUMING nation and not a PRODUCING nation.
America cannot go on forever being a CONSUMING nation. When Reagan took office in 1981 our national debt was under $1 trillion. Today we are over $30 trillion in debt and CONSUMING as if we were a productive nation.
