Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky’s personal aide, Alexey Arestovych, said Sunday that Ukraine’s recent support of a United Nations resolution against Israel was “a grave mistake.”
In an online livestream, the close aide to the Ukrainian premier said “Ukraine’s foreign ministry’s position was illogical and unacceptable.”
“We’re teaming up with Russia and Iran who are attacking us, and distancing ourselves from Israel — which we want as an ally,” Aristovich said.

“Ukraine must at least abstain from such votes,” he added.

How stupid is that...
In an online livestream, the close aide to the Ukrainian premier said “Ukraine’s foreign ministry’s position was illogical and unacceptable.”

That U.N. vote was YOUR COUNTRY’S POSITION, not merely the foreign ministry’s position. It was the vote of the COUNTRY of Ukraine exercised by their representative.
Doesn’t Zelensky, y’know, control HIS country’s UN delegation?
It wasn’t a mistake.
It was retribution for Israel not supporting Ukraine militarily.
(and on that note... is that related to an uptick in anti-semitic talk on the left?)
Screw Ukraine!
The UN General Assembly Fourth Committee voted in favor of the move on Friday by a margin of 98 in favor, 17 opposed and 52 abstentions.
Please send shekel; no crypto!
It was a mistake because Ukraine got blowback from the US. No diplomat puts forth a policy that is contrary to the government’s position. Zelensky is responsible.
Genesis 12:3
KJV “ And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: ”
The Covenant, “ Now the LORD said to Abram,
“Go forth from your country,
And from your relatives
And from your father’s house,
To the land which I will show you;
And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you,
And make your name great;
And so you shall be a blessing;
And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who curses you I will curse.”
Zelensky should prove it by firing and replacing his UN representative.
He’s got a phone and a pen, after all.
Not surprising at all given Ukraine’s recent votes, as well.
At any rate, Israel knows the deal with Ukraine.
“2019 Stepan #Bandera year...A series of letters, from the #Polish and #Israeli embassies in #Ukraine protesting the #Zelensky governments
decision to pass laws commemorating #Nazis. They were sent only 2 years ago.”

Usually a whole country doesn’t vote on a un vote?
Meanwhile, this report of tropical storm Bibi, sighted off the coast, has just come in…
And maybe it will help repair relations with Russia.
Beggars gonna beg.
“ Usually a whole country doesn’t vote on a un vote?”

A country gets one, single, solitary vote when a vote is taken in the UN. A country will have a representative to cast that vote. That representative votes according to how the leadership of the country wants them to vote (or gets promptly fired).
What are you, a third grader?
IIRC, Israel did agree to send some defensive weapons to counter the Iranian-built drones that Russia was using. Perhaps someone in Tel Aviv reconsidered that decision, I don't know for certain.
This vote will fit hand-in-glove with all the "Nazi" commentary that has swirled around this war. Maybe Zelenskyy is okay with that.
Does this have something to do with the Ukrainian Nazi’s or something?
I’m being serious in wondering if that might have something to do with the vote? I purposely ignore Ukraine news so I might be confused.
“I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee..” Reap what you sow Ukraine. @uck with Judea and Samaria and you are as good as gone. Ask the Romans.
Russians also voted against Israel.
