Ultimately, the biggest loser is Masters. He got people backing him with almost $70m and still choked. That’s on him. He let his supporters down, and there’s no getting around that.

It’s been difficult to read for a while. Between the Trump Cult and the Putin Cult, just about every thread is a mess.
They’re doing it on their own despite us, but it could hav happened faster and earlier if we had actually reached out…not condescendingly, but just as we would do to any other voter. But being told that it wasn’t worth the effort for GOP headquarters to send out election materials to be used in black neighborhoods - which the GOP had written off long ago, apparently - was not only absolutely dumb but more than a little racist, IMHO.
The concerns of black people are the same as the concerns of white or Hispanic or Asian or any Americans … a good life, freedom to carry out their dreams, a peaceful world in which to do it and build a future for their children.
The GOP has got to remember the dream.

NY’s Lee Zeldin got less than half of what Masters did in a much more expensive media market. He got within 6 points of Kathy Hochul - in a state Cuomo had previously won by over 20 points. Whereas Kelly beat McSally by 2 points previously. Kelly is beating Masters by 6 points at last count.
Bottom line - Masters simply has no idea how to run an election campaign. It was a mistake to have a complete novice run for this Senate seat, given the stakes.
