A secessionist movement in eastern Oregon fed up with the state's liberal policies gained more steam after Tuesday's midterm elections.

Two Oregon counties, Morrow and Wheeler, voted to ask the Legislature to redraw the state's border and let them join conservative Idaho.

Greater Idaho is behind the drive to convince state legislatures to move the Oregon/Idaho border to make conservative counties of Oregon into counties of Idaho. The group also is advocating for portions of southeastern Washington and northeastern California to join Idaho, which it said aligns more with the region's conservative values.

If southeastern Washington and northeastern California want to join Idaho, I say go for it, because it’s now or never.

portions of southeastern Washington
= = =

Oops, Wash State U is there. Used to be Ag school, conservative farmers. Now is woke bad.

The students would probably not want to go conservative.

But, Used to be able to drink beer in Idaho at 20. Then lowered to 19, now back to 21, so no incentive on that motivation.

I did 2 sems at Wazzu before i transferred to Stanford. It wasn’t that bad then late 2000’s. In my freshman prereq class, I had classmates who carried and that was the first time in my life I saw entire walls of firearms at pawn shops.

I don’t understand how this could work.

Doesn’t Idaho have something to say about this?

Last I heard, Idaho was OK with it. It’s Oregon and Washington that won’t let it happen. The libs need their subservients don’t ya know?

Less population = Less money to throw at social programs that don’t work. And also the possibility of the loss of a rep. Which they can IN NO WAY allow.
