Trump voters are ‘done’ with ex-president: ‘He needs to disappear’
The New York Post ^ | November 11, 2022 | Salena Zito

The chickens have come home to roost for Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. After he stuck his nose in the state’s Republican primary process last May against the guidance of his most loyal advisers, many of his once-devoted followers say they are done with the former president.

(snip)

“If you’re a Republican in Pennsylvania and you look at Donald Trump’s bigfooting of the people in Pennsylvania and the implosion of his candidates in Pennsylvania, you’re pretty upset,” said Urban, a Washington-based strategist who grew up in Beaver County, Pa.

Urban said his phone has been ringing all week with county chairs and committee people who tell him they’ve had it with Trump.

“They said, ‘Look, we’re done. We’re done with him. He cost us this election and we’re done.’”

He’s not the only one. All day Wednesday my phone lit up with calls and emails from voters who expressed the exact same frustration. One woman said she saw the writing on the wall last weekend when Trump decided to take a swipe at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — calling him “Ron DeSanctimonious” — while he campaigned for Oz and Mastriano in Pennsylvania.

And when Trump went on to tease that he was going to announce “something big” next week (presumably his run for president in 2024), she knew it would hurt Oz on Election Day.

“I had a pit-of-my-stomach moment as I watched the rally,” said the former Trump fan, who did not want to be named. “It is hard to quit Trump — I voted for him twice enthusiastically.” But “at this juncture, I think we have to move forward to a new generation of leaders.”

I LOVE how the opposing side love to put words in our mouths and thoughts into our heads…

As a Christian, I’ve heard “what I believe” from atheists and non-Christians I’ve known.
They haven’t got a clue. It’s 100% wishful thinking on their part.

Just like this stupid article. And others like it.

Trump had nothing to do with it. Early voting (began around Sept 21) and mail-in voting are ripe for election corruption with the results plain to see. Couple that with the absolute ignorance and in many cases, stupidity of PA voters and that brings us to the current situation. The dems/left strategy was to hide the candidates and run a slew of negative, slanderous ads against their opponents. I NEVER HEARD SHAPIRO SPEAK DURING THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN and he had a lot for which he had to answer regarding 2020.

It makes me think of the old joke “Maybe if you think everyone is out to get you, maybe they are”. Trump is trying to pre-empt the Deep State, which he has done successfully many times. It is painful for us to see, but we also have learned that if you sit back and do nothing, then the corrupt media will bury you. The media is ginning up this ‘battle’ for their own ratings. I don’t believe any of it.

“... So, maybe, just maybe, no Republican was going to win in Pennsylvania. Did you ever think about that? ....”

Yes, I did, for example

“....

Fetterman long ago sold the idea to predominantly white blue-collar Pennsylvanians that he was one of them. Facts don’t matter here, the fact that these blue-collar guys\gals all supported Trump in 2016 doesn’t matter either. Too many of them emotionally bought into the carefully crafted Fetterman image. They look at him and they see union vs management and he’s one of them. Oz was the political equivalent of bringing a Rubik’s Cube 3-D puzzle piece to a standard Milton Bradley 2-D puzzle. Not only he was just barely a Pennsylvanian but something “odd”. His celebrity meant nothing to them it came from a chick show. I was shocked that Trump picked Oz I knew he wouldn’t resonate with the guys at bars in Greensboro, Point Marion or up toward Uniontown. Trump in 2016 seemed to have “the touch” in regard to blue collar sensitivities. He certainly didn’t show it there! (I think he has a weakness toward celebrities, too impressed by them!) Actually, I think no one in the GOP Pa primary would have beaten Fetterman too many are too far bought into the image.
.....”

And

“...

My son-in-law’s family is from the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre region of Pennsylvania. He tells me those relatives are all Fetterman fans. They too think he’s one of them. You try to dissuade them, they get mad!

....”

I hoped my two sample points were wrong and there were enough suburban soccer moms to make them irrelevant. Looks like that was wishful thing on my part.

And I doubt seriously if Trump did any in-depth political analysis of the Pennsylvania electorate. What analysis he did probably went like this - Oz is my pal I like Oz he’s a celebrity, he’ll win! He didn’t!

I don’t think Trump does in-depth analysis. (At least not anymore!) What in-depth analysis says start a public pissing contest with DeSantis & Youngkin?

Indeed. I’m not done supporting him - or DeSantis for that matter.

I think the never-Trump narrative will cool down when certain facts come out. IDK.

Santorum lost by 17% in PA. Was that Trump’s fault?

PA Democrats (and those RINO Trump-hating mouth breathers) elected a dead vegetable for Senator. Trump’s fault because PA Democrats, RINOs and Trump-haters let PA Democrats cheat. Because they made sure to pull the “he’s from New Jersey BS.”

At the rate things are going the GOP will get stuck with Liz Cheney as the 2024 nominee. I would vote for the Rat over her.

Someone needs to point that out to him, he’s on NewMax nonstop practically wetting his pants in excitement that Trump supporters lost and claiming it’s because of Trump.

The only one to take him on was Rob Schmitt, the rest of them sat there with dumb looks on their faces. Cowards

Highly unlikely.

Trump is a businessman by nature.

BY NATURE he always analyzes the scenario he is about to step in before making a decision.

But hey, let your bias rule your mind and form your opinion for you. It's a free country, or at least it used to be.

Partner, I agree that President Trump should be our President right now and that Bozo Impersonator should not be our President.

I predict that Bozo Biden will die pretty soon.

That’s what I thought about him. Recent events have started me to change my mind.

I think that simplistic analysis is more likely than you think!

It follows to some extent Trump’s path to the presidency. He realized that in the modern US celebrity trumps everything. Trump expressed interest in running way back in the 1980s. (I forget the TV show!) He saw the trends politics was taking, more “Show Biz” then reality. Glitz, crafted 30-sec soundbites, glamor, shallow showmanship over substance. It’s not just here in this country it’s everywhere. Politics\governance has just become another form of show business only in the “Gov Show” they can steal your wallet, wreck your life and get you killed! He astutely decided if he was going to make his contribution and make it a positive one, he and to craft himself to fit into that new “politics paradigm”. Thus, he started his “show biz” career and built up his celebrity. It worked! Oz had celebrity, but it wasn’t necessarily Pennsylvania celebrity. Oz’s “foreigness” didn’t play well in “Pennsyltucky” Pennsylvania. Trump who is popular there and was looked at as someone who might bring back those empty factories in Central Pennsylvania couldn’t hand over the “celebrity-path-to-political-success “ to Oz. He was barely a Pennsylvanian that should have been a huge red flag that it was unlikely to work. Trump took the simple easiest solution. He’s a busy man, easy to do and I think hubris played a part. “Quick and dirty” analysis if there actually was any! Such analysis usually fails! People there just looked at Oz and went “Meh” and reverted back to past voting patterns. I think the result would have been the same regardless the GOP candidate. Fetterman had already made the sale to “Pennsyltucky” long before the midterms.

Trump didn’t extend much loyalty to the J6 protesters, did he? He could have issued a blanket pardon to everyone there, but he didn’t.

What a ridiculous thing to say.

President Trump was out of office on January 20th before anyone could know that the Democrats were going to charge people for being at a peaceful protest.
