Former President Donald Trump criticized Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida Thursday in a statement posted on Truth Social, calling him an “average” governor who was “politically dead” and in “desperate shape” before Trump endorsed him in 2017.
“Ron came to me in desperate shape in 2017—he was politically dead, losing in a landslide to a very good Agriculture Commissioner, Adam Putnam, who was loaded up with cash and great poll numbers. Ron had low approval, bad polls, and no money, but he said that if I would Endorse him, he could win,” Trump said in the statement. I think you got it right. Unfortunately.
No, but I have a condo in Navarre.
Trump won’t live forever and men of his age and physical condition sometimes suffer mental and physical declines. Seems to me he is already exhibiting signs of dementia with his attack on De Santis. The Florida governor has never done a thing to Trump and the “only” reason for Trump’s attack is the Governor’s high poll ratings.
Cruz would have made a better President than Trump and I’ll say the same about De Santis. Both can walk and chew gum at the same time and Trump can’t.
Keep believing Trump walks on water while playing 4D chess. You are bound for a big disappointment. Will you vote for the Republican nominee is it isn’t Trump?
It will become clear who the establishment GOPe candidate is. That candidate, and it will become obvious, will not get my vote in the primaries or the general.
It may turn out that Lindsey Graham’s National Abortion Ban quote, is the wound that fatally wounded the GOP for good. There is no way now the party can ever come back together again.
Can't stand him, why would he write a playbook for the opposition. Honestly, if I lived in his state I'd be the bad guy that everyone complains about around here, voting for the libertarian candidate or staying home. 10 years ago I wouldn't be saying that, but I've been burned too many times by these loser pols.
I understand people’s concerns with Trump’s recent statements, but Graham did a LOT more damage than anything Trump could have said.
Of course, can't disagree. But it is what it is. I don't rely on government so I guess I'll just try to enjoy the show.
You don’t even understand what the word means and neither does Trump.
Yep. Probably not willing or able to do that.
Rush was a very wise man.
That is what I think. Why go through that distress again? He is trying to find a way out, subconsciously.
I’m staying with Trump.
I now feel that this is an attempt by the DNC and never Trumper’s to split our ranks.
I think Trump has a tremendous amount of shortcomings, but I’m sticking with him.
Our best plan would be four years of Trump and eight years of DeSantis.
But God damn does. Trump piss me off sometimes! Lol.
Right now Greg Kelly on Newsmax is breaking down Trump’s statements and posts. Hearing it this way, Trump makes a lot of sense.
