While we wait for Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia to count their votes with the urgency of a DMV staffer on break, maybe Republicans should not accept the invitation from Democrats and the media to spend the next two years moaning about whether it’s time to “move on” from Donald Trump.
It’s true that as of Wednesday afternoon, the election was not the decisive win for Republicans that was anticipated. Everyone still thinks the GOP will control the House come next year and the Florida results show that Republicans have turned that crucial state ruby red. On the other hand, a breathing cadaver defeated the Republican in Pennsylvania’s Senate race and the victory margins have been otherwise slim. But that the elections should be some form of reckoning for Republicans to either throw Trump overboard or cuff themselves to his ankles and swallow the key is a very, very stupid way of thinking about the future.
It’s a false dilemma designed to frustrate Republicans into believing that the party has no good options to move forward — either declare now that Trump is dead weight or pledge undying loyalty to the former president.
Those are not the only two options and Republicans taking cues from the left would be like a gazelle taking directions from a lion.
Recent history is clear. Trump single-handedly revived and revolutionized an entire political party, turning an old country club into a shining Costco, a place where bikers, boaters, and business owners alike can all find the things they need at a good price. What he’s done and where he’s gone since, and in the future, won’t change it. For that, Republicans should be eternally grateful.

__________
Tons of RINOs, UniParty, Democrat plants and unthinking GOP fall for this.
And, unfortunately, some freepers too.
The RINOS and Uniparty didn’t force Trump to attack DiSantis on the cusp of the election. Although I will support Trump if he is the nominee, his repeated lack of discretion is getting old.
And unfortunately, MORE THAN SOME Freepers too!!!
"Oh no! Trump's making MEAN TWEETS again!"
That was really not this ‘attack’ you are making it out to be. It was a barb. That is all it was.
You don’t have to vote for him but it is possible to wait until the actual 2024 campaigns fire up before totally destroying him. Do not let the RINOs declare victory yet.
He has also done good things which is what this article is saying.
“his repeated lack of discretion is getting old.”
___________
Are you pretending to yourself that DeSantis isn’t already President Trump’s opponent for 2024? Anyone paying attention knows what is going on between the two - they’re both positioning for 2024, of course. President Trump has much more opposition from the establishment RINOs and anti-Americans domestically and internationally because of his America first stance.
I’m gonna go ahead and throw this out there...
“The next election will be the most important election of our lIfetimes.”
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Trump is owed his second term in office. I’ll keep voting for him until he gets it.
Trump has done great things. He has also made a lot of mistakes, and his inability to learn from his mistakes is discerning. For example, attacking DiSantis on the eve of the mid-term election before either has announced a run for POTUS in 2024 is stupid. In addition, throughout his presidency, he repeatedly surrounded himself with deep state enemies of his administration. Et tu Brutus?
Critics who say “it’s all about him” don’t listen when he speaks. He’s generous with praise and compliments to those he endorses and many others. If you’re a Republican there’s no one better to have on your side.
You're darn tootin'! The Never-Trumpers on FR are now calling themselves Post-Trumpers. I've been jousting with them all day.
Absolutely! At his rallies, he's always giving out praise and compliments and inviting folks to come up to the podium to say a few words.
Several things happened before the election.
John O'Dea, who George Bush and other RINO's were supporting in CO, went on MSNBC and proclaimed that he wouldn't support Trump in 2024 and that he would support DeSantis.
Several days later DeSantis seemingly returning a favor, endorsed O'Dea.
Trump then responded with his minor dig about DeSantis' commercial.
I see these all as bad moves before an election.
There was a rumor those RINOs were planning to start trouble. And they did. Thing is around here, too many only want to hear what they want to believe and unwilling to look at what was actually going on.
I like both men and we will see what happens. I am sure there will be more running.
I like them both two.
You will be voting for Trump in Nov. ‘24.
Get used to the idea.
Where else are you going to go?
Apparently they can't spell 'Turtle.' Which is not surprising.
