Putin's troops FLEE Kherson as Kremlin orders humiliating withdrawal across the Dnipro river - abandoning the ONLY local capital still held after their disastrous invasion

Putin - always on hand to cheer Russia's 'victories' - was nowhere to be seen.

Putin's top military commander said troops will retreat from Kherson on orders from Russian Defence Minister Troops will leave 'in the near future' and take up positions across Dnipro River, General Sergei Surovikin said

Giving up the city - capital of a region Putin annexed to Russia just weeks ago - is the most humiliating loss yet General Surovikin said city was impossible to defend as Ukraine's armed forces continue to counterattack

Kirill Stremousov, 45, is believed to have died when his Lexus was involved in a collision with a truck Images released by Russian state media purported to show the twisted remains of his car lying in the road

This is the moment Russia's top commander was ordered to withdraw from Kherson, after admitting the city is impossible to defend in face of Ukrainian advances.

General Sergei Surovikin was hauled on to state TV alongside Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu who ordered him to pull his men back across the Dnipro River and surrender Kherson to the Ukrainians in a heavily stage-managed affair.

Surovikin gave a report in which he said his troops are in danger and civilians are being killed, before recommending a retreat. Shoigu agreed, to which the squirming general replied: 'Yes sir. The troop manoeuvres will be made as soon as possible.'

Witnesses say Russian men have already abandoned key checkpoints around Kherson and have destroyed bridges in an apparent effort to stop Ukrainian soldiers pursuing and capturing them.

Giving up Kerson - the capital of a region Putin annexed to Russia just weeks ago, his only toe-hold west of the Dnipro River, and a key checkpoint on the road to Crimea - is the most-humiliating loss his military has yet suffered.

Hopefully the Roooskies ran so fast that they left plenty of ammunition and weapons behind. Artillery shells would be very nice. How about a few Roooskie tanks and troop carriers.

These days the retreating Russian army is Ukraine’s largest weapons supplier. Bigger than NATO - USA etc.

Okay, so you’re saying the Russians are going to hold Kherson as the capital of their new Oblast. Let’s see how right - or how wrong - you are.

There’s video of Shoigu giving the order. I get that wars are full of propaganda from both sides, but what would convince you of the truth of this development, if not the actual words of the actual russian minister of defence?

‼️Russian propagandists claim that the Gauleiter of the occupied #Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, died in an accident. (reports say his Lexus crashed into a truck while he was fleeing)

Too good to be true. We are waiting for official confirmation of the information.

Today there was news about the death of #Kherson collaborator #KirillStremousov. It is strange that the video about his death was recorded 2 hours before the news. So we can assume that it was not an accidental death. But who killed him? Ukrainians or #Russian special services?

Russian-appointed deputy head of Kherson Oblast Kirill Stremousov entirely removed driver’s safety belt from his car. Smart decision, Kirill, I’m pretty sure Ukrainians support this modification!

1. The war is wrong and never should have started

2. Russia’s war plan is a study in ineptness

3. Russians and Ukrainians deserve better leaders

4. America should stop sending cash and weapons to Ukraine

Apparently. According to E Pluribus, the Russian defense minister works for Pfizer and is spreading propaganda for them.

Lolzzz.....Yeah right. Winter is coming and the Russkies are a running. Their troops there (Kherson region) are lacking fuel (gasoline, diesel) ever since the Kerch railway bridge to Crimea was knocked out. You saw all the fuel tanker cars on that Kerch railway bridge that exploded and melted it down. On the same day of the Kerch roadway attack. It was a twofer that brave day.

The Russian supply route was, fuels and supplies go to Crimea. Then onward north, to their troops in the Kherson region.
