GOP Sen. Ron Johnson has won re-election to a third term in Wisconsin, NBC News projects, narrowly defeating Democrat Mandela Barnes.
“The votes are in,” Johnson said in an email statement that was released before NBC News and other news outlets made the call. “There is no path mathematically for Lt. Gov. Barnes to overcome his 27,374 vote deficit. This race is over.”
Democrats had initially been hopeful that they could oust Johnson, who was increasingly defined by headlines over his statements on issues such as abortion, his perpetuation of dubious and unproven Covid treatments, and his ties to the Jan. 6 riot and fake elector plot to help throw the 2020 election to then-President Donald Trump.

The fact that Johnson is barely beating this racist idiot is a bad sign. Wisconsin I believe is the birthplace of American Socialism (aka, Communism) and they may boot Johnson the next time around.

Someone will have to explain this to me. I thought the big steal was on as usual. I thought we lost all the close races because of that? How did the republican possibly win a close race?

Democrats could cast enough votes (or make them up) to re-install Bony Beavers, but not to throw out Johnson? Their game is slipping, which is good.

Nevertheless, a win is a win. Six years before Johnson has to fight again. And a lot can change in six years.
Nearly always the votes completing a close race, or the ones suddenly found somewhere, or the official canvas, or the re-count———results in a Dem win. Many times. Funny how that happens.
Remember both the 2020 US Senate seats in Georgia went to the Dems including after a runoff? Funny how luck favors the Left.
