Taking the focus off of his extremism and going to his health probably helped him as I feared. Creating sympathy for him as a “disabled American who wants to serve his state” took the focus off of him releasing murderers. Oz, let’s be honest, was not a good candidate, and he basically took a month off after the primary while Fetterman’s campaign went after him with both barrels out of the gate. Close races can be lost or won in the summer. Oz let Fetterman both define himself and Oz before Oz finally decided to get going - a very bad mistake considering Oz was not liked by a majority of Republicans at the start of the campaign.
