No Call to Bibi: Biden Has Yet to Congratulate Newly Elected Israeli Leader

The Biden administration will not say when the president plans on calling newly elected Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him on his victory, drawing accusations the U.S. administration is trying to isolate the conservative Jewish leader before he even takes office.

Asked on Thursday afternoon if President Joe Biden has any plans to phone Netanyahu following his victory this week in the Israeli elections, a White House spokesman told the Washington Free Beacon, "We don’t have any call to preview at this point."

No, non-believing Jews. Some Jews do become believers. And, it is interesting to hear them talk about life as a Jew before they became a believer and how with the help of the Catholics blaming them for Christ's death and maybe a little antisemitism and the aversion to all things New Testament, it is easy for them to not accept Yeshua. Many of the interviewees say that the didn't know that Christ and the apostles were Jewish and that Yeshua was descended from Abraham, Issac and David. They say that they are told by the rabbis that Yeshua is Catholic. They are also surprised to find out that the New Testament is just a continuation of the Old Testament.

I’m a little surprised that you keep writing that Catholics blame Jews for Christ’s death. I am born and raised Catholic, went to Catholic school for 8 years. I was never taught such a thing. Never. I don’t know a single Catholic who believes this. It is not part of the faith. We don’t hate Jewish people either (nor our Protestant brethren).

You and I have had a cordial conversation so far, and I’d like to keep it that way. I am not an anomaly of my faith. This sounds like something Protestants might be told about Catholics, but it isn’t true.

Seems to be a common theme. Maybe not you but other “Catholics.”

Also, is seems to be common that people who are raised Catholic can be antisemitic. Not everyone. But there seem to be a few notables.

And from a Jew's perspective, definitely persecution from “Catholics.” I bet that many Jews agree and may have personal experiences that are mentioned in the show. It is usually kids, (in the case of William Shatner), that throw stones and call names. But it might be more pervasive.

Maybe there is a thread of truth and maybe some introspection would be good. It is not mine to tell someone or something to do right. Just stating a fact.

Maybe that’s Canada. I’ve never heard of such a thing. I know several Catholics that are married to Jewish folks. Among them, my best friend from high school, my cousin, and a neighbor. So you saying this is just very strange to me. It hasn’t been my experience at all.

I will say that I didn’t grow up around a lot of Jewish folks, just some. Their faith was just like any other I encountered, including Latter Day Saints, or Hindus. We got along just fine.
