Russia removed a top military commander in Ukraine following criticism from some of President Vladimir Putin’s top allies over the officer’s responsibility for a recent chaotic retreat in the country’s northeast that underscored Russian weaknesses on the battlefield.
Col. Gen. Alexander Lapin, responsible for the Central Military District, Russia’s largest, was the last of Russia’s regional commanders still in place amid Moscow’s faltering invasion. It was unclear whether he had been suspended or removed from his post.
Gen. Lapin was the top Russian commander for a part of Ukraine’s northeast that Kyiv’s forces retook in a lightning offensive in September.
At the end of last month, Russian military correspondents had reported that the commander, who received the Hero of Russia award in June, had been dismissed after losing the critically important city of Lyman in Ukraine’s Donbas to Kyiv’s troops. Russian state news agency TASS reported last week that Maj. Gen. Alexander Linkov, a former subordinate in the central military district, had been appointed as acting commander to succeed Gen. Lapin.

How much did you donate to Putins army? Did they give you a hammer and sickle sticker for your car in return?
Actually I did contribute a bit to the UKr cause by buying a sticker of Saint Javelin for the back of my truck.

Sucker, but ZelenskyyIdiot thanks you. More mansions are being looked at.
No, that is just your strawman argument. Kherson is being stripped bare down to the appliances, autos, etc by Russians.
The vacant houses will shelter Russian troops if the UKr troops try to take the city and Russian arty on the other side of the river have the city widely targeted so if the UKr troops try to liberate it they will take heavy casualties. Russian propaganda teams are currently filming in Kherson for the “before” photos before their arty destroys it later to blame Ukr for its destruction.
Try to keep up.

“KHERSON CITY / 5 NOV/ RU troops continue to forcibly deport Ukrainian citizens within the urban area. These kidnappings occur against a backdrop of general looting of civil infrastructure to include communications, cellular systems & power transmission equipment.”
Ukrainians mad that they can’t target the Kherson civilians, huh?
And any civilian that has been told to leave Kherson city proper and has not heeded such warnings should be forcibly removed, for their own safety. :duh:
Wont be able to buy much of a mansion from a ten dollar sticker. Saint Javelin is very popular in Ukraine but not with your boys in the Russian tanks.
BTW, Zelensky is a small time grifter compared to Putin whose net worth is many billions of dollars. Putin is afraid to get close to his troops as shown in discussions with his generals on a fifty foot long table with Putin on the other end. Contrast that with Zelensky going to the battle zone on several occasions and mixing freely with his troops.
But then, some of the loot from Kherson may wind up in one of Putin’s mansions. Like this Kiddie train from a playground going south with a Russian looting caravan:
