Comrade, you can’t say that! Just because virtually all cases of monkey pox have occurred in an extra-special population, don’t jump to conclusions! We are all at risk from this terrible disease. /s

I remember the same message when AIDS first appeared. Yes, it was first called ‘gay cancer’ and yes all of the victims were gay men (and the unfortunate hemophilia suffers who got it from gay-men’s donated blood) but we were shown with ‘geometric logic’ that AIDS would spread throughout the population within a few years. We all were required to care.
