Republican insiders believe “the GOP Is Poised for a Blowout,” according to the New Yorker, a very pro-establishment magazine.
The GOP is leading because Democrat strategists spent much of the election season touting the issues favored by the very liberal bloc of college-credentialled white women, according to the November 4 article, which quoted a GOP strategist saying:

1. Afghanistan withdrawal without honor due to his incompetence.
2. Rising energy prices due to his policies.
3. Rampant inflation due to his spending priorities and lack of fiscal responsibility. “Transitory” indeed.
4. Shrinking economy due to his inflationary pressure and poor domestic policy.
5. Incompetent, leftist Cabinet members.
6. Emptying out the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in a last ditch effort to salvage the midterm elections with no plan what to do with energy thereafter.
7. Incomprehensible speech patterns, confused vocabulary, and remembering things how they never happened in public.
8. Kamala Harris.
9. “Inflation Reduction Act” that merely spends more money.
10. American Rescue Plan that doled out billions of dollars in “stimulus” resulting in rampant inflation.
11. Gaslighting America. Literally pissing on your leg and telling you it’s raining.
Feel free to add to these reasons that Biden and the democrats are going to get destroyed, barring fraud.
But, the fraud is going to have to be so big, they’ll really get caught this time.

Agreed that Oz was a bad choice but if the hoodie Fatterman wins in PA then it’s pathetic. I will be optimistic and say I still assume the voters won’t vote for the hoodie. Be interesting to see how it goes down.

One of the things that’s lost on people around here is how MUCH normal people hate Republicans, not least for what they did to President Trump.
The Pennsylvania race is a poll on how many people hate the Democrats vs how many people hate the GOP. And it’s close, very close.
It’s the first race I can recall where the candidates are irrelevant.
Good point. I’m so isolated where I live so maybe that’s why I can’t see it that way. Many older people still voting democrat in AL have a very hard time when asked about dem national platform. They still think Dem = working man Rep = Rich corp. the people that see the national Democrats platform beliefs cannot support it or most won’t.
It cracks me up when the media or pundits try to explain the south’s giant switch from Dem to Rep. They try to explain it using race but the truth is values. Also they forget the south was mostly poor whites and blacks ruled by an elite class. The old days of the local community being led by the few that happen to Democrats was just about power.
Not sure why some areas hate a party by name. Look at the individual running or the party platform.

Dems focused too much on abortion. Then realized voters are more concerned about other issues,
so they switched to their standard “GOP wants to gut Social Security and Medicare” strategy.
