Progressive policies funded and foisted on the Big Apple by Gov. Hochul and her left-wing allies have caused a legion of drug-addicted zombies to descend on East Harlem and transform parts of the neighborhood into lawless, open-air shooting galleries, neighbors and critics told The Post.

The real-life horror show plays out daily in the neighborhood’s gritty streets where The Post witnessed dozens of raving, hunched-over junkies commandeering East 126th Street — now the home of a controversial public-injection site — as drug dealers hovered nearby like vultures.

Others along Park Avenue down to East 114th Street have been spotted nodding out, splayed on the sidewalk, and injecting themselves in the neck or through jeans in broad daylight.

Clearly what we need is more democrat policies.

Since the ones they have now aren’t working, they need to double down and do more of it. That’s the democrat answer to everything.

They just didn’t do it right. Or hard enough. Or…..

Supervised (or safe) injection sites may work in places like Switzerland but they will never work in the U.S. And if Swiss cities had homeless populations on par with the U.S. the sites would fail there as well.

Making it easier for mentally unstable people to feed their addiction is just going to make the homeless situation worse. That in turn means more addicts. It is a cycle that these sites do nothing to address.

I understand the goal of having fewer deaths from overdoses. But the best solution for that is to tighten the border and close off as much as possible the flow of fentanyl. Open borders kill.

The scam is that taxpayers money goes into the pockets of these agencies who pay themselves big salaries. No doubt there are kickbacks to politicians involved. It’s a money laundering scheme.

I can’t understand why one reporter in SF wouldn’t go to the open air drug parks and ask the addicts, where do you get your money from to subsist on? Everyone of them would say from a government check. So Ca spends billions on the homeless, etc, and the bulk of it is skimmed off by the bureaucracy and NGOs It’s sick.

All this rhetoric re drugs. Drugs are good, m’kay? Drugs are safe, m’kay? Just ask FR’s resident LiberTARDian addicts.
