Almost no point in doing this, but I’ll proceed:

1)There is nearly no hand to hand combat taking place. It is a long range artillery war. Satellites are a few hundred, not thousand, miles high, traverse the sky, image the country and downlink the data. Allocation of analysis time is focused on troop movements, on electric system repair efforts and on rear echelon supply depots.

2) There is no analysis time for counting the number of figures laying on the ground, and if such a figure were present at time X and then 20 minutes later no longer present you will not know if they walked away or were carried away. So no point in trying. If you’re American, you find the Russian depots for targeting. If you’re Russian you find the repair activity going on and specify electric network targetting accordingly.

3) Therefore, all casualty numbers anyone sees is coming from Artillery Effectiveness Models. These are modeled body totals. Not counts. Regardless of a desire for propaganda about such things, this is the only source of data, pure or propagandized. This ATM software has a solid database for the Russian side because their people train with those launchers. The Ukraine people aren’t trained and have either no software models, or models that don’t presume poor training.

So casualty counts have any merit at all only one side, and it’s a model and may be flat out wrong.

The End. Stop presuming casualty numbers mean anything.

The one thing that is real, is that Russia is in the process
of trying to introduce 300,000 more troops to the Ukraine.

You don’t do that if you haven’t lost an incredible number of
your troops already on station there.

Initial reports were 100-125 thousand troops going in.

If Russia hadn’t lost massive numbers of their troops, we’d
be seeing Russia introduce 25 thousand more troops, not
300,000 more.

The initial numbers weren’t sufficient to get the job done,
so Russia is doubling or tripling the numbers of troops
heading into the Ukraine.

I guess folks could argue he wants 400+ thousand troops
in the Ukraine, but I don’t believe that is a reasoned
retort. Russia is not able to hold the land it occupied
and controlled, and that just doesn’t support the retort.
