The job of a news reporter is to report the news - NOT to give their opinion or try to influence the opinions of others. If that’s what they want to do in life then they should get a different type of job, because they are failing at theirs.
Right. Opinions and attempts at influencing opinion belong on the editorial page and the opposite-editorial pages. They used to be written by editors and columnists. And that used to be where one would find political endorsements ...
