War In Ukraine - U.S. Creeping Towards Ever Deeper Involvement

Posted on 11/04/2022 9:14:16 AM PDT by elpadre

The number of Republican voters who are against the war in Ukraine has steadily increased. In March only 6% said that the U.S. is doing 'too much' for Ukraine. That number is now 48%. The Republicans in Congress have been pressing the Biden administration to better safeguard the enormous amount of weapon and money it is sending to Kiev:

Following concerns in Congress and accusations by Russia about weapons smuggling, the Biden administration released its blueprint on Thursday for ensuring that the $17 billion in arms it has so far sent to Ukraine were making it to the battlefield — and not the black market.

On October 27, nine months after the U.S. sponsored war started and after $17 billions in weapons and ammo have been send, the U.S. State department published a:

U.S. Plan to Counter Illicit Diversion of Certain Advanced Conventional Weapons in Eastern Europe:

The plan will be a whole-of-government effort implemented broadly across three phases: now through Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, FY 2024, and beyond FY 2024. It will focus on three lines of effort:

Bolstering the ability of security forces in Ukraine and its neighboring states to account for and safeguard their arms and ammunition during transfer, in storage, and when deployed; Strengthening border management and security in Ukraine and its neighboring states; and Building the capacity of security forces, law enforcement officials, and border control agencies in Ukraine and its neighboring states to deter, detect, and interdict illicit trafficking of certain advanced conventional weapons.

excerpted:

“...Colonel Douglas Macgregor, who still has his connections inside the Pentagon, is warning of this creep towards war :

“Today, the Biden White House appears to be considering the use of a multinational force aimed at Russia. The NATO alliance is unable to reach a unanimous decision to intervene militarily in support of Ukraine in its war with Russia. But as signaled recently by David Petraeus, the president and his generals are evaluating their own “coalition of the willing.” The coalition would allegedly consist of primarily, but not exclusively, Polish and Romanian forces, with the U.S. Army at its core, for employment in Ukraine.”

ya think? US ground forces are now in Ukraine teaching soldiers how to use US weapons.

Any Vietnam vets on Freep? This is hauntingly familiar. Kennedy’s advisors morphed into LBJ’s war against North Vietnam and China.

Being ready and forward deployed with men and material may actually lead the Russians to reconsider using nuclear weapons. Nations pay no attention to what politicians say as politicians lie. What they watch is the deployment of logistics. It costs lots of money to deploy the necessary material and stockpiles. This is why Obama’s “red line in the sand” meant nothing. Obama never deployed anything to potentially back up his “line the sand” so everyone ignored it. Diplomacy is more like poker than chess.

The first few weeks of Nixon in the White House the North Koreans killed several American officers on the other side of the DMZ. Nixon reacted by stating, “I’ll blow them back to the Stoneage!” Nixon ordered the entire Pacific fleet out to sea. The North hastily apologized and send a video of them executing the alleged perpetrators. Nixon never had another problem with North Korea.

“Colonel Douglas Macgregor” is a paid employee of Russian state-sponsored RT News.

48%? It should be 98%!

As for weapons and ammunition being diverted for sale on the black market I’m sure that the Ukrainian cargo plane (which had a Bangladesh destination) that crashed in Greece carrying large quantities of explosive weaponry was the ONLY Ukrainian cargo plane carrying black market weaponry. None of the many hundreds of other Ukrainian cargo flights could have been carrying black market munitions for sale cheap! /sarc

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/07/17/ukraine-cargo-plane-crash-greece/

GIBS-ME-DAT tens of billions of dollars of salable munitions.

Macgregor is a fraud, a publicity hound and did the planning for the civilian slaughter during the Kosovo War for the Butcher of Belgrade, Weaselly Clark.

From the article.

A plane (owned by the private Ukrainian cargo carrier Meridian) “said to be carrying defense equipment — including mines — from Serbia crashed late Saturday near Kavala, Greece”

“the plane was transporting 11.5 tons of equipment purchased by Bangladesh from the Serbian defense and armament company Valir.”

Dude, guess what. Folks OPENLY transporting and selling illegal merchandise ALWAYS ARRANGE FOR FRAUDULENT PAPERWORK. Officials of legitimate companies have been known to “assist” with said cover stories/documentation for a price.

Serbia selling Serbian goods is not a crime.
