In a memo to all staff on Thursday, workers were told they would receive a message in their private accounts if sacked.
While those keeping their jobs would receive the news in their work emails.
The email subject is menacingly titled "Your Role at Twitter" and will land in inboxes by 4pm UK time on Friday.
A source told The Sun that "circa 1,000 staff" at the UK offices in London and Manchester are at risk of losing their jobs.
It is unclear how many people Twitter employs in the UK.

The fact that Musk can fire thousands of staff, and the Twitter site runs just fine as far as I can tell, means it was a highly bloated and inefficient operation.

Yep. Corporation pretty much don’t mess with two weeks anymore, so people don’t sabotage anything before they leave. How much more so with the Twits?

To be fair, the company wanted to keep me, but the government (contract) wanted me back in Silver Spring, Maryland.
