Actually Hillary Clinton met Sir Edmund Hillary in Nepal in 1995 and in that meeting told him and the press that she was named after him, with two L’s. This was a very strange coincidence as the year (1945) that Clinton was born, Sir Edmund Hillary was an obscure beekeeper in New Zealand and wouldn’t climb Mt. Everest for seven years.
