Final results could be dramatic with official counts showing the highest voter turnout since 1999
As polls closed on yet another election day in Israel, millions of Israelis waited anxiously to see if, after five rounds of voting in less than four years, they would be able to finally choose a clear winner and produce a stable government to successfully run the country.
Early exit polls predicted that former prime minister and current opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu might very well be that winner this time around. His bloc of right-wing, religious parties was slated to draw up to 62 seats, the number of mandates needed to form a majority in the 120-seat Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
Yesh Atid, the party of Netanyahu’s main rival, interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid, appeared set to garner only 24 seats, according to the polls. The assortment of parties that would be willing to support him in forming an anti-Netanyahu government were only slated to reach 55 seats. Two key parties appeared as though they would not pass the electoral threshold.

OK. I see Israel as one of America’s best allies. They will of course, like America, (when Biden is gone) put their Countries interests 1st but there is no other Nation that walks as much in common with the USA.
After September 11th Israel was a solid ally unlike the Europeans & Uk who pointed fingers and assigned blame to the USA for the factors causing the attack. The EU is not America’s friend although a few individual Countries are (preBiden).
“So he has no core principles and he’ll stab you in the back for money.”
He has a Core Principle, ISRAEL, his own country. But I can see why some here have trouble with that concept.
“I don’t forgive him for that. He’s a backstabbing rat. The steal was only 3 hours old and Bibi raced to put a knife in Trumps back.”
I guess we’ll differ on this one!
That is not a logical conclusion. Core principles means he can’t put friendship to someone who is no longer in power above his responsibility to his Country.
What a fool he would have been to make the relationship with Biden, who already despised Israel any worse. America is the elephant in any room and Israel needs friends. You would have respected him if he held out a few days????The smart man sees the writing on the wall and eats his humble pie early, if it’s inevitable. That does not make him without honor, only pragmatic and a good leader.
“I don’t forgive him for that. He’s a backstabbing rat. The steal was only 3 hours old and Bibi raced to put a knife in Trumps back. He’s a damned coward. Obrador of Mexico held out until the electoral college voted. Bibi has no backbone.”
Get off your Johnny One Note rant that you bring up at every opportunity. Trump has since said he understands why Bibi did what he did, and that was to try to protect his country from the wrath of Biden based on Biden’s loathing of all things Trump.
To Bibi Israel is everything, and he was protecting his country’s interests knowing that he would have to deal with Biden for the next 4 years. You aren’t very politically savvy if you can’t comprehend that. Trump does.
Wouldn’t doubt it
RE: as has been documented with many of the weapons we’ve already given them.
I’d appreciate a reliable link to read. Thanks.

This is from a news service in Finland - seems our weapons are making it all the way up there. Kind of makes sense that Israel would keep their weapons safe at home, given the threat from Iran.

Bibi cut Trump off at the knees. Votes were still being counted and the election was in dispute. Biden bragged about the call while Trump was trying to get a court to hear his case. Bibi’s call helped the “it’s over” narrative a lot.
